“There is no such thing as coincidences.”

I’ve read stories of witness intimidation by gangsters and I’ve seen lots of such stories on TV but there’s nothing like seeing it go down in real time.  Joe Biden isn’t even trying to hide it anymore.  You have to give Joe Biden for the chutzpah to threaten and intimidate witnesses using the DOJ and the FBI as his muscleright in front of your eyes.

Soon after James Comer announced that he had several eyewitnesses against the Biden Cosa Nostra funny things began to happen. The witnesses are being taken out. Gal Luft:

Dr. Gal Luft, a key figure in House Republicans’ investigation of the Biden family’s international influence-peddling, faces federal charges of arms trafficking, operating as an unregistered lobbyist for China, and conspiring to flout US sanctions on Iran, according to a Manhattan indictment unsealed Monday.

Prosecutors in the Southern District of New York say Luft, 57, a dual US-Israeli citizen who was arrested in Cyprus this past February and went on the run after being released on bail prior to his extradition, agreed in 2015 to let former Hong Kong official Patrick Ho send $350,000 each year to Luft’s think tank, the Institute for the Analysis of Global Security.

That would be the FARA Act. The one Mueller used to imprison Paul Manafort. The one that was clearly violated by Hunter Biden.

Someone say Patrick Ho? Ho was a business associate of Hunter Biden. Biden was part of a business partnership with CEFC China Energy, where Ho was an executive. Biden had admitted to Judge Maryellen Noreika to making $664,000 via CEFC as she dismembered Biden’s wink and nod plea.

Nothing is so dangerous as a cornered animal. Today, the man knows where all the bodies are buried is supposed to testify in a closed House hearing. If he lives that long.

Then on Saturday something happened that never occurs on a weekend.

Damian Williams, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, sent a letter Saturday to Judge Ronnie Abrams in which he requested that she set a date and a time for longtime Hunter Biden business partner Devon Archer to surrender and begin his one-year prison sentence, just days before his testimony on Capitol Hill.

Comer called that timing “odd.”

“It’s odd that it was issued on a Saturday, and it’s odd that it’s right before he’s scheduled to come in to have an opportunity to speak in front of the House Oversight Committee and tell the American people the truth about what really went on with Burisma,” he said.

He went on:

“The lengths to which the Biden legal team has gone to try to intimidate our witnesses, to coordinate with the Department of Justice and to certainly coordinate with the Democrats on the House Oversight Committee to encourage people not to cooperate with our investigation, to encourage banks not to turn over bank records, to encourage Treasury not to let us have access to those suspicious activity reports. It’s very troubling. And I believe that … this is another violation of the law. This is obstruction of justice,”

It absolutely is obstruction of justice. Amanda Devine:

What a coincidence!

On the eve of Devon Archer’s bombshell testimony to the House Oversight Committee, the Department of Justice tried to put him in jail.

If you don’t suspect that’s an attempt to intimidate Hunter Biden’s former best friend before he reveals damaging secrets about the president, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

A former Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division of the SDNY, thinks this is out of order.

“The Southern District shouldn’t be involved. They’re allowed to be but there’s no need. Why are they suddenly interested in a surrender date right on the eve of his testimony?

“They want to put pressure on him. They want this to be weighing on his mind. Costello sees the letter to Abrams as “a psychological operation on Archer to see . . . how it affects his ability to recollect [damning details during his testimony].

“I think what the SDNY has done borders on obstructing justice, by interfering with a congressional witness. While they might technically be allowed to do this, it exhibits bad form at the very least.”

Devine opines that Biden has two potential benefits to the intimidation.

Let’s pile up the coincidences.

If you watched the original NCIS, you might recognize Jethro Gibbs’ Rule 39:
