Imbecile #1: AOC
The House passed a Parental Rights Bill. Not one democrat voted for it. Among the highlights:
The main component of the bill would require schools to publicly disclose the contents of their curriculum and library materials to parents. Currently, many schools teaching radical ideology do so without the parents’ knowledge.
Additionally, the bill would establish the right of parents to see their kids’ schools’ expenditures.

The bill would also ensure that parents are notified of, and give consent to, any medical procedure performed on their child on school grounds.
A similar provision would require that parents be notified of any violent activity on school grounds.

There is a move afoot to ban TikTok from the US because it is a risk to the country.
AOC opposes the ban because “It just doesn’t feel right to me.” And why would it not feel right to AOC?
It’s all about the Benjamins, baby.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., was criticized for defending TikTok after it was revealed the app’s Chinese-owned parent company gave six-figure donations to the Black and Hispanic caucus non-profits.
Fox News Digital previously reported that disclosures show ByteDance, TikTok’s Chinese parent company, funneled six-figure contributions to nonprofits aligned with the congressional Black and Hispanic Caucuses. ByteDance donated $150,000 to both the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation and Congressional Hispanic Caucus Foundation in December, its lobbying contribution report shows.

Bowman opposes a ban on TikTok because it would be “racist” and “xenophobic.”
He then added:
“Republicans ain’t got no swag, that’s why they want a ban,”
To which Rep. Troy Nehls replied
“Give me a break,” Nehls retorted. “What are we teenagers? What is this high school? … Is this a popularity contest? Am I running for class president? This is serious stuff.
Nehls continued, alluding to a mother who sued TikTok last year, alleging her daughter died from imitating a dangerous stunt that the app’s demographic targeting algorithm curated for her. “How would Bowman feel if we get the mother of the 10-year-old that committed suicide?” Nehls asked. “You think he’s going to look her in the eyeballs like I’m looking at you and say, ‘I want to talk to you a little bit about swag’? Give me a break. This is serious business.”
