The Nordstream pipelines have sprung some leaks and it appears to be sabotage.
“We have established a report and the crime classification is gross sabotage,” a Swedish national police spokesperson said.
Seismic monitoring stations in Sweden, Finland and Norway recorded two explosions Monday near the Danish island of Bornholm, the largest of which registered a 2.3 on the Richter scale.
“There’s no doubt this is not an earthquake,” said Bjorn Lund, director of the Swedish National Seismic Network.
The ruptures are releasing massive amounts of methane – the single largest amount released ever recorded. Let’s note what’s being said about the environmental impact:

Newsweek is calling this a loss for Putin, but that seems short-sighted. Russia has a very large deal with China to sell oil and natural gas.
If this is a case of sabotage, there are two suspects: Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden. Putin might want to choke Western nations over politics, but all he had to do was shut off the spigot.
There is someone else who really has motivation to sabotage the pipeline. That someone promised to end fossil fuels. That someone shut off oil pipelines to the US. That someone shut off oil drilling leases.
That someone promised to end the Nordstream pipeline if Russia invaded Ukraine.
U.S. President Joe Biden on Monday warned that if Russia invades Ukraine, there would be no Nord Stream 2, but did not specify how he would go about ensuring the controversial pipeline would not be used.
Speaking at a joint news conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Biden said, “If Russia invades… again, then there will be longer Nord Stream 2. We will bring an end to it.”
When asked how he would do that, he responded, “I promise you we will be able to do it.”
That someone is a demented senile old man who talks to dead people.
Yes, I believe Joe Biden did it. He said he would do it. Doing it has a couple of benefits. It squanders a significant amount of natural gas, it causes damage to the environment that Biden can point to, and it helps his plans to end fossil fuels.
And the clincher?
John Brennan said it was the Russians. That does it for me. It’s not the first time Brennan, a notorious liar, fed the country a line of bullsh*t. If he says it’s the Russians, you can about bet your life it’s not.
