Black Lives Matter killed Jake Gardner

Earlier this year Jake Gardner, a 38 year old decorated former Marine (two tours in Iraq) was facing rioters outside of his businesses during the Black Lives Matter/Antifa “protests” when a conflict occurred. What happened depends on who you read.

Omaha World Herald:

A surveillance video from Gardner’s bars, played Monday at a press conference, shows a group of young people, including Scurlock, approaching Gardner.

Walking backward, Gardner lifts his shirt to show a handgun, then pulls it to his side and continues backing up. Two people from Scurlock’s group — a man and a woman — tackle Gardner, who ends up on his back in a puddle in the street.

He fires twice into the air — he characterized them as warning shots in an interview with Omaha police. The two people run away from him.

Four seconds after that, Scurlock rushes from the sidewalk and dives on Gardner. Kleine said Scurlock was on Gardner’s back and had his arm around the bar owner’s neck. Gardner could be heard on another bystander’s video hollering, “Get off me, get off me.”

His right arm pinned, Kleine said, Gardner switched the gun to his left hand and fired over his shoulder. The bullet hit Scurlock in the shoulder-neck area, killing him.

CNN:

Two videos depict scenes from the incident. As described by prosecutors, Gardner’s father asked protesters outside the Gatsby bar to leave and pushed one. An unidentified man can be seen pushing the elder Gardner back, and the son intervened. Wayne claims Scurlock was not part of that group.

Jake Gardner had a handgun tucked in his waistband and lifted his shirt to show it during his confrontation with protesters, Kleine said of one video.

Two people jumped on Gardner’s back and he fired two warning shots, the county attorney said. Within moments, Scurlock jumped into the fray, according to authorities. Gardner told police he was put in a chokehold and he begged for the assailant to get off of him, Kleine told reporters.

“He thought he was in danger of losing his life or serious bodily injury,” said Kleine. That’s when Scurlock was shot in the clavicle and killed.

Before the glass stopped flying and without any facts celebrities were calling for Gardner to be punished.

Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine, after ‘breaking down videos and witness statements “with all of the homicide detectives”‘ determined the shooting to be in self defense.

There was more:

Dornan and Monaghan also revealed new evidence in the case, saying “Gardner was inside his bar on May 30 when he heard what he thought was a bullet coming through the front window of his business.” It was later identified as a pole that had shattered the glass. Dornan said people began climbing into Gardner’s bar, so he pulled the fire alarm, called police, and went out front. That’s where the altercation between his father and another protester began, and where Scurlock and Gardner’s struggle ensued.

On Twitter Carlos Osweda has a nice breakdown of the scuffle.

That inflamed BLM. They wanted blood and they were determined to get it.

Then BLM activists swarmed to the district attorney’s house in July, demanding justice for Scurlock as Kleine submitted to the whims of the mob.

“We still haven’t seen justice and he’s just free… Don Kleine lives in this neighborhood over here and we believe he’s not doing his job, so we’re trying to hold him accountable to do his job by charging Jake,” protester Annie Schenzel told KMTV.

Kleine knuckled under the pressure.

District Judge James Gleason then signed off on an arrest warrant affidavit on Friday spelled out by retired Omaha Police Detective Jeff Gassaway, one of the investigators who was involved in a fatal officer-involved shooting of a man outside a local shopping center in 2010.Midlands Bar Association of black attorneys, was named to lead the grand jury investigation.

Gardner became the proverbial ham sandwich.

Gardner was indicted by a grand jury on counts of manslaughter, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, attempted first-degree assault, and terrorist threats.

In an effort to raise funds for his defense, a friend of Gardner’s tried to set up a Gofundme page. Black Lives Matter and its supporters went to work immediately to cancel it:

On Tuesday, Justin informed Gardner of the GoFundMe account he had launched to aid his legal defense.

“It was just a drop in the bucket to what he was going to have to pay but any little amount helps and I felt obligated to help my friend,” Justin explained. Then Justin received backlash on social media and the page was taken down due to a flood of email complaints, raising just $100.

When Justin created a second page, that’s when he was personally attacked. A Black Lives Matter activist group contacted his place of employment with a scripted demand, claiming to black ball him and any of the companies he works for. Justin changed his screen name on Facebook after his LinkedIn profile was posted to several websites, including pictures of his son.

“Never have I been targeted so viciously,” Justin stated as he was forced to deactivate the second GoFundMe fundraiser, only raising $45.

A swarm of social media jockeys reported both campaigns to “Customer Happiness Agents,” alleging a “violation of Terms of Service” to the site’s administrators.

Black Lives Matter had determined that Gardner was guilty and condemned him. Due process was out the window. Truth be damned.  Gardner, you see, was supposed to let his father get pounded. He was supposed to allow BLM to destroy his business, and he was supposed to allow Scurlock to choke him to death.

Then Megan Hunt, apparently a Nebraska state senator, tarred Gardner without a smidgen of proof:

“The indictment of Jake Gardner would never have happened without the community, the people, who stood up for justice and demanded action from city officials. Jake Gardner is gone, but the white supremacist attitudes that emboldened him are still with us today,” Hunt wrote.

It gets worse from there. Check it all out.  God only knows why anyone would elect this-  I cannot find any other word- bitch.

Of Gardner, his friend said

“I never once heard Jake even say a negative term or a mean thing to anyone much less any racial slur,” Justin urged. “I believe the media and people in Omaha tried to label him as a racist in an effort to excite a racial situation.”

Gardner’s biggest crime was being a Trump supporter. Kamala Harris wasn’t proud of him.

Gardner took his own life yesterday. He was offered up as an appeasement sacrifice. BLM killed him.

One of his last words to his friend were “what else could 2020 throw at me?”
