This came via a Facebook commenter, and a good read by #NeverTrumper Erick Erickson. In response to my lamenting how far Jonah Goldberg has sunk, here’s a great post by someone who dislikes our president but gets it. The last line of the post nails it, but you’ll have to click through to read it. Instead I’ll give you this great line for a taste:



Progressives may claim President Trump is Caesar at the edge of the Rubicon, but they have embraced the bastard love child of Joseph Stalin and Franz Kafka and enlisted the American political press to smear, defame, and attack anyone who stands in their way.

We Conservatives like to rip on how Lefties have no sense of humor when it comes to their own, and this post on plastic straws is a welcome exception. Since John DeVore gives us the rare combination of a Lefty 1) laughing at their own and 2) making political humor that’s actually funny, please give him a click!

I’m old enough to remember when marrying a sibling was an insult that Leftists would throw at Conservatives, rather than quietly embracing it.

Some minor friendly fire – CNN has its chart for Unemployment numbers stop at the start of the Trump presidency for obvious reasons, but the author doesn’t provide the kill shot of including Obama’s numbers side by side. I said as much in the comments, and hopefully it came across as constructive.

Take a guess how The Radical Left in the media is portraying the “Impeach the mother f***er!” comment. Go ahead, guess!

1/6 – Get Ready For The Big Democratic Gun Control Push

This perfectly sums up the difference between the two parties. No matter how much power Republicans have they will always find a way to fail to advance a conservative agenda. The Radical Left gets control of 1/2 of the weakest branch of federal government and they launch an ambitious radical agenda. This is why so many of us continue to support Trump – at times it feels like he’s the only person in Washington who doesn’t hate us Normals

1/6 – ‘Who are you?’ Judge Jeanine taunts foul-mouthed new Dem Congresswomen: ‘You don’t have the guts …’

The money quote in response to the “Impeach the mother f***er!” stupidity:

“You call him an M-fer because you don’t like the way he talks,” she said. “But you don’t have the guts to follow through with your claim. When you are confronted by the press you whimper away and run from the American media. Did Nancy [Pelosi] rein you in, Rashida?”

1/6 – Julian Castro cites 90 percent tax on rich in defending Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on tax hikes

Ah, and now The Radical Left is in a race as to who can be the dumbest. How about a 100% rate? I’m sure this would be good for improving foreign relations, as these kinds of tax increases would send insane amounts of investment capital overseas.

1/7 – I Was Banned from a Conservative Group on Facebook for Pointing Out Fake News

More semi-friendly fire. Author Matt Margolis got banned from a Conservative site for being a liberal after challenging an obviously fake news piece. Yes, the man who wrote a bestselling book on why Obama was the worst president in our nation’s history is a liberal. His main point is an argument I’ve also used – when there are plenty of legit reasons to criticize the other side, don’t let fake stories diminish your overall arguments.

And Margolis has another book coming up on how Trump saved us from Obama’s legacy – I’ll keep you posted when it gets released!

1/7 – Socialist Rep. Ocasio-Cortez Accidentally Endorses Social Security Privatization, Minimum Wage Repeal, Corporate Tax Cuts

1/7 – Carlson’s Invisible Political Hand Riles Conservative Critics

You’ve probably watched Tucker’s speech from a few nights ago by now. While I saw flaws in some of what he was saying, overall it was damned good. What’s more interesting is the hysterics of the Vichy Conservative #NeverTrumpers

1/8 – Did Ballot-Harvesting By Illegals Flip Elections To Democrats?

This is part of my an unfettered flow of illegal immigrants is so important to Democrats – the uppity Americans can no longer be relied on to vote as they’re told and must now have their voting power diluted, and eventually replaced.

1/9 – DNC Chair Won’t Say ‘What Changed’ From 2006 or 2013 When Dems Voted for Border Security

This is a fair question to raise. If Obama, Schumer, etc. all held opinions a decade ago that national security and a border wall that have completely reversed, then what changed? I don’t have an issue with changing positions on an issue (For example, today I am far more pro 2nd Amendment than I was 20 years ago), but if you do you should be able to articulate what changed or what new facts you learned. Saying that your views “evolved”or giving the sputtering explanations that the Dems have given tells me one or two reasons: 1) You were lying previously to say something popular while failing to take any action or 2) You hate the proponents of today’s policy, and will say to Hell with the views you claimed to have and are a hypocrite (A frequent position of Vichy Conservatives). I this case I’m leaning more toward #1.

1/10 – BORDER WALL: MONUMENT FOR THE PEOPLE, NOT POLS

This is one of the rare times I’ll use oppose an argument using that silly Leftist excuse of “Whataboutism” (which is just Leftspeak for “How dare you point out my hypocrisy!”). The post shows how Lefties are willing to drop billions of dollars on building projects of questionable value, which is bunk. The value of a project is the merit of it and that alone. That said, while I find this to be an unserious argument it can be a fun sticking point if you find yourself debating an unserious Left Wing Extremist.

1/11 – San Diego Station: CNN Declined To Use Our Reporter After We Told Them Border Patrol Agents Say The Wall Works

There’s really nothing I can add to that.

ICYMI – Yes, I’m finally getting back into writing more than these summaries, putting up two posts this week:

The end of the NFL regular season’s annual ritual of head coaches being fired bought out an ugly side to Leftists when we saw that Racist Leftists Think that Nonwhite NFL Coaches Must be Held to Lower Standards!

I also named the 2018 person of the Year.  To promote it in proper clickbait fashion, the winner WILL ASTONISH YOU!

From the archives, I recalled a post I wrote regarding a previous federal government shutdown – The #1 Lesson from the Shutdown is that the Left in America is Completely Gone 

I didn’t realize it’s been five years since President Stompyfoot punished the American people over a shutdown. More significantly for me personally, it was the beginning of my realizing the futility of engaging Leftists on any level. What starts as a post on the Barrycades around various memorials and national parks shows an incredibly disturbing look into the mindset of the American Left. This resonates today with the leaders of the Democrats’ opposition to building a border wall to protect the United States.
