Democrats’ insistence on identity politics erodes the country- anti-Semites and anti-Americans now in Congress

For democrats this was the year of identity politics and it was a banner year for it. Via their incessant virtue signalling, they’ve gotten four dubious choices elected to the House.  Two are flakes and two are Trojan horses.

Krysten Sinema

This one really baffles me. Somehow, Arizona chose a left wing twit over a patriotic combat vet.  Sinema hates Arizona and stay at home Moms, among other things:

She stretched the truth about her upbringing; she called Arizona the crazy state and said it was the meth lab of Democracy; she tried to summon witches to protest the Iraq War. It’s a mess. Now, she’s going after stay-at-home moms for “leeching off their husbands.” Bre Payton at The Federalist has more:

Democratic Senate candidate Kyrsten Sinema, of Arizona, once described stay-at-home moms as leeches in a 2006 interview.

“These women who act like staying at home, leeching off their husbands or boyfriends, and just cashing the checks is some sort of feminism because they’re choosing to live that life,” she told Scottsdale nightlife magazine 944. “That’s bullshit. I mean, what the f*** are we really talking about here?”

After saying she would not support Schumer, she supports Schumer. Naturally.

Ocasio-Cortez

This woman is a complete ditz. A continual whiner. She claims not to be able to afford an apartment in Washington DC. Somehow, AOC apparently thought she actually could live in the House of Representatives. It’s a House, right?

However, she just might be able to afford it.

How would she pay for Medicare for all? Easy!

During an interview with Jorge Ramos on Monday, Ocasio-Cortez said, “People often say, like, how are you going to pay for it?  And I find the question so puzzling because how do you pay for something that’s more affordable? How do you pay for cheaper rent? How do you pay for — you just pay for it.

AOC thinks she will be “inaugurated”

She has immediately picked a fight with fellow democrats, and then whines she’s being discriminated against.

Ihlan Omar

Seems the Somali-born Omar may have married her brother for illicit reasons:

Long after it could have any bearing on Ilhan Omar’s pending election to Congress from Minnesota’s Fifth District next month, the AP’s Amy Forliti took a detailed look at the story that Omar had married her brother in 2009 for some dishonest purpose and only recently went through the exercise of divorcing him. The story is “Minnesota House hopeful calls marriage, fraud claims ‘lies.’” Omar actually called the claims “disgusting lies.”

Omar refused to be interviewed by the AP for the story. Omar further refused “to provide the AP with a list of her siblings[.]” Indeed, Omar refused to facilitate the AP’s investigation of the claims in any way. Attempts to communicate with Omar’s ex-husband, now in London, also proved unavailing (“The AP’s efforts to speak with Elmi were unsuccessful”). This is consistent with Omar’s practice since I first began writing about the story in 2016.

Reading Forliti’s AP story last week, I drew adverse inferences from Omar’s refusal to respond or be interviewed. I have done so from the first time I asked Omar about the story in 2016 and received an offensive non-response response on her behalf from a local criminal defense attorney. I quoted the attorney’s non-response response verbatim in my 2016 City Journal column recounting the story up to that point in “The curious case of Ilhan Omar.”

Without explicitly saying so, Forliti’s AP story retraces the steps Preya Samsundar and I took to look into the claims in 2016. I think that Forliti’s story leaves the claims roughly where Preya Samsundar and I left them, though Forliti’s story carries the imprimatur of a mainstream media organ.

PJ Media’s David Steinberg has taken on the case this year. Unlike Forliti, however, he has actually advanced the story. Steinberg’s work supports our conclusion that Omar married her brother in 2009 for some dishonest purpose. Today Steinberg reports “Official School Records Support Claims That Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) Married Her Brother.”

Working from New York, Steinberg has produced a truly dogged piece of investigative journalism that puts us all to shame. As is her custom, Omar has declined to respond to Steinberg’s inquiries. See the email to her that he has reproduced in his story. Perhaps there is some misunderstanding. To say the least, an explanation is called for.

Omar has deceived her supporters (well, not all of them). She lied about her support for the anti-Israel BDS movement:

Congresswoman-elect Ilhan Omar’s support of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel has some in Minnesota’s Jewish community asking questions, as before the election she reportedly called the movement “counteractive” to the goal of a two-state solution.

Over the weekend, the website Muslim Girl posted an article, saying that Omar’s staff told the blog Sunday that the congresswoman-elect “believes in and supports” the pro-Palestinian movement, which seeks to put international pressure on Israel.

The staffer added that Omar, who won Minnesota’s 5th District congressional seat last week in a landslide, has “reservations about the effectiveness of the movement in accomplishing a lasting solution.”

A day later, TC Jewfolk, a website focusing on the Twin Cities Jewish community, took issue with Omar’s stance on the BDS movement, noting that it didn’t appear to gel with what she said to the Jewish community before being elected to Congress.

And there’s this:

EXCLUSIVE: Ilhan Omar’s “Campaign Muscle” Is A Somalian Immigrant Who Stabbed 3 People

Despite her being foreign born and a newbie to Congress, she’s already making demands that, rather than she adapt, that Congress change to accommodate her:

One change, proposed by Rep.-elect Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, who is Muslim, clarifies the 180-year-old rule against wearing hats on the House floor to allow for religious headwear, including headscarves.

It will be the first of many religious demands.

Rashida Tlaib

Finally, Palestine has its own Representative in Congress. Following her election, she wrapped herself not in a US flag, but a Palestinian flag.

More on her from Joel Pollak

After Tlaib won her primary race in August, she published several anti-Israel tweets, and re-tweeted a fan who declared that Tlaib’s “first fight was for Palestine, always Palestine.”

Tlaib explicitly supports the destruction of the Jewish state of Israel and its replacement of a unitary Palestinian state. That position caused her to lose the endorsement of the far-left group J Street — which, while often adopting anti-Israel positions, nominally supports a two-state solution.

Congratulations!

The democrat push to elect anyone based only on identity politics is likely to cast a long and dark shadow over this country.

Much has been made by the media of women being elected to Congress this year- but not all women:
