NBC buries the violence directed at its own reporter at Charlottesville

The media would have you believe that the protests this year at Charlottesville were “tense” but peaceful.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) — The city of Charlottesville marked the anniversary of last summer’s white supremacist violence that sent ripples through the country with largely peaceful vigils and other events, but police had a brief, tense confrontation with students angry over the heavy security presence there this weekend.

“Why are you in riot gear? We don’t see no riot here,” activists chanted Saturday evening.

Shortly before a pre-planned evening rally to mark the anniversary of a campus confrontation between torch-carrying white nationalists and counterprotesters, activists unfurled a banner that said, “Last year they came w/ torches. This year they come w/ badges.”

A group of more than 200 protesters then marched to another part of the University of Virginia’s campus, where many in the crowd shouted at officers in riot gear who had formed a line.

The “students”, i.e. Antifa, were not pleased.

Kibiriti Majuto, a coordinator for UVA Students United, said the students moved to another part of campus because they didn’t want to be “caged” in the area where the rally had been planned.

“How does that create a sense of community? How are we going to be safe in that situation?” he asked.

Majuto said police “were not on our side” last year when white supremacists surrounded counterprotesters on the rotunda.

“Cops and Klan go hand in hand,” he said.

They were steered there by the police. Nice sentiment, though. The leftists were bothered  by the ability to stem most of their intentions.

Charlottesville city councilman Wes Bellamy said he tried to diffuse the situation and told the police commander that the students were upset by the officers’ tactics, calling the officers’ riot gear “over the top.”

After a few minutes, most of the demonstrators began to walk away. There were no immediate reports of arrests on campus.

The rest of the day had been much quieter.

Uh, yeah. Not so much. NBC reporter Cal Perry had a completely different experience.

And finally they assaulted him

This is what the media called “peaceful.”  And it wasn’t just NBC.

And NBC? Not one word about this. In fact, only the neo-Nazis were bad.

Keegan Hankes, a senior research analyst at the Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks hate groups, said the white nationalist movement has become much more disorganized without any central leadership.

He believes there will be a “tamer turnout” Sunday, in part because Kessler has lost support from other factions upset about the violence that erupted last year. In addition, some followers are spooked after their identities and personal information became widely shared on social media.

And BTW, Antifa also forced a hospital shutdown.

The neo-Nazis are bad people for sure, but they didn’t assault reporters, berate and spit on cops. The media whitewashed their actions entirely. Protected them.

It’s almost as if we’re being fed one side. It feels like- what might you call it? Fake news

So even if these ANTIFA scumbags cause a riot and trash the city will NBC still call them PEACEFUL the lying peacock

Majuto said police “were not on our side” last year when white supremacists surrounded counterprotesters on the rotunda.

This statement indicates why the left should NEVER be allowed to have political power. They expect the police to be “on their side” and help them beat down anyone that does not voice their ideology. Here, ANTIFA faced off against the alt-right, but we have seen them oppose, with threats, intimidation and violence, ANYONE that does not agree with the far left agenda they promote. They (the left) employ the same mindset when delving into their thought police activities.

“Why are you in riot gear? We don’t see no riot here,” activists chanted Saturday evening.

Gee, what about an ANTIFA gathering would cause police to think it would be best to don riot gear and prepare for violence? THIS is how stupid the left thinks everyone else is.

The liberal media, despite being assaulted themselves, were probably upset because ANTIFA could not get at the alt-right march and incite violence, as they did last year. Only then would they have the violence that they could blame totally on the other side. So, no reports of violence at all.

They also called for the assassination of POTUS and the overthrow of our government. Not a peep from the MSM or demokrats. They all lie in the same bed together. A bunch of neo-Communist wack jobs.

AntiFa should protest themselves for using Fascist tactics and behavior.

The police were using sensible caution in their choice of riot gear.

ANTIFA is a domestic terrorists group just like the NBPP a,d BLM as well as the infamous WEATHERMAN UNDERGROUND and its time for the goverment to do something about them bring them up under the RICO laws and anti- terrorists laws

Not to be outdone, CNN has also come out backing ANTIFA. Is the MSM enemies of the people some ask? Considering the endorsing and making excuses for a group that embraces an ideology that murdered over 90 million people and declares everyone they don’t like to be racists and fascists- damn right.

@another vet: MSNBC also excused and justified the violence. Being representatives of the left, the media cannot denounce the left wing violence for fear that some of them might stop. The left relies on violence in lieu of ideas.
