Where’s the collusion? That sound you hear is the sound of liberals deflating all over the country

For you youngn’s, back in the 80’s Wendy’s ran a commercial featuring Clara Peller which, based on Wendy’s featuring fresh meat, asked “where’s the beef?”

So here’s the question: Where’s the collusion?

What have we got?

In doing so, Flynn became the first senior White House official to agree to cooperate with the special counsel’s investigation into Moscow’s meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

A two-page charging document filed Thursday lists two false statements Flynn made about his interactions with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak in late December 2016.

It says Flynn falsely claimed that he had not asked Kislyak on Dec. 29 “to refrain from escalating the situation in response to sanctions that the U.S. had imposed against Russia,” and that he didn’t recall Kislyak telling him Russia had decided to moderate its response as a result of his request.

Prior to the Dec. 29 call with Kislyak, Flynn called a senior official with the presidential transition team who was with other senior members of the team at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida to discuss what to say to the Russian ambassador regarding sanctions, according to the statement of offense. After the call with Kislyak, Flynn spoke with the unidentified member of the transition about the call, including discussion of sanctions.

Court documents also say Flynn falsely claimed that he didn’t ask Kislyak on Dec. 22 to “delay a vote on or defeat” a U.N. Security Council resolution, and then falsely denied that Kislyak had described Russia’s response to the request. Before that call, a “very senior member” of the transition team directed Flynn to contact foreign officials, including those from Russia, to learn where they stood and influence the vote, according to the statement of offense.

The “very senior member” was Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and senior White House adviser, two people familiar with the matter told NBC News.

Straining mightily to add gravitas, ABC News blared:

Flynn prepared to testify that Trump directed him to contact Russians about ISIS, confidant says

The Trump transition team contacted the Russians after the election. This is entirely normal and completely legal. Not satisfied with that, ABC decided it would run a false story in order to strike out at Trump:

ABC News is making a significant correction to a report it did on former national security adviser Michael Flynn that sent shockwaves across social media and financial markets on Friday.

Brian Ross, a veteran journalist at ABC News, reported earlier in the day that a source close to Flynn said that the retired lieutenant general was prepared to testify that during the campaign Donald Trump instructed him to make contact with Russian government officials.

The report came out after Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his contacts during the presidential transition period with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak. Special Counsel Robert Mueller found that Flynn lied to the FBI during a Jan. 24 interview on the topic.

It caused economic damage:

The stock market plummeted more than 350 points after the ABC News report, seemingly because it undercut Trump’s longstanding claim that he did not order anyone to contact the Russians prior to the election.

And it was dead wrong:

Ross issued a “clarification” to his report on ABC “World Tonight,” hours after the initial bombshell allegation about pre-election Russia contacts was made on air.

“A clarification tonight on something one of Flynn’s confidants told us and we reported earlier today,” Ross told ABC “World Tonight” host David Muir.

“He said the president had asked Flynn to contact Russia during the campaign. He’s now clarifying that, saying, according to Flynn, candidate Trump asked him during the campaign to find ways to repair relations with Russia and other world hot spots. And then after the election, the president-elect asked him to contact Russia on issues including working together to fight ISIS.”

Watch Ross eat it:

It is an error of colossal proportions. The zeal to take down Trump is so radioactive that it threw off the barely functioning moral compass of Ross and ABC News. The reality?

Flynn and Papadopoulos were caught in process lies- they lied about doing nothing illegal. The Scooter Libby trap.

Fox News Greg Jarrett on the legal jeopardy:

Gregg Jarrett: The headline belied the truth of what was in the plea deal and it’s called the statement of offense that Flynn signed. I’ve read through it thoroughly. There’s nothing in there that would suggest legal jeopardy for Donald Trump.

Charles Payne: Is there legal jeopardy for anyone in the Trump circle?

Gregg Jarrett: No.

The left lost itself in celebration. Watch as the banshees of The View erupt in joy over what they thought was going to happen:

I would to see an interview with Behar this morning.

It must be said that the Trump team fired Flynn for the same reason Mueller indicted him. What Mueller has done is to prove that there was no collusion. What the media has done is strengthen Trump’s assertions that the media is fake news. It is a shame that a three star general was taken down for nothing- for doing nothing illegal a la Scooter Libby. Liberals can take some solace in that, I guess. The White House claims the calls Flynn made to the Russians were approved by the Obama White House and as of this morning there have been no denials.

Today the story is largely gone, as a sandcastle succumbs to the tide. That hissing sound you hear is the sound of liberals deflating all over the country….
