This is a tale of two campaign closing arguments: one democrat, one Republican. This is Donald Trump’s closing ad:
It is a good message. It’s positive.
Even over at The Hill, Trump is seen as closing strong:
Nobody who works for Trump is claiming he’s reformed or that his newfound discipline is anything close to permanent. But if he stays steady, hammers his populist message and refrains from mocking the looks of women who are accusing him of sexual misconduct, Trump’s allies like his chances.
hillary clinton, on the other hand, has gone totally negative:
Hillary Clinton’s closing argument is all about Donald Trump, as she piled on accusations Monday that the Republican presidential nominee is a threat to national security, in league with Russia and ready to start nuclear war.
The rapid-fire assault — including a lengthy white paper, a new TV ad and a stump speech focused almost entirely on attacking Mr. Trump — served to deflect attention for the FBI reopening an investigation of Mrs. Clinton for using a secret email setup as secretary of state, which sent her campaign into panic mode a week before the election.
clinton is strongly critical of Trump’s values
He’s undermining the values we stand for in New York, and across America.
She hammered Trump for the ten year old video featuring Trump and Billy Bush:
“We’ve seen this throughout the campaign. We’ve seen him insult women. We’ve seen him rank women on their appearance. We’ve seen him embarrass women on TV and on Twitter,” she said. “So yes, this is who Donald Trump is.”
If she really meant that then her choice of a big closing hoopla makes you scratch your head. She hauled out Jay Z and Beyoncé for her last large campaign bash. So here are some highlights of hillary’s closing argument – “f**k”, “motherf**ker” and “ni**a”:
The rapper repeatedly used the n-word and dropped the f-bomb as he performed “F—WithMeYouKnowIGotIt” and his hit “Dirt off Your Shoulder” song at a Cleveland rally.
“You’re tuned into the motherf—– greatest,” a voice said as Jay Z appeared onstage.
“If you feelin’ like a pimp n—-, go and brush your shoulders off,” Jay Z rapped. “Ladies is pimps too, go and brush your shoulders off. N—– is crazy baby, don’t forget that boy told you. Get that dirt off your shoulders.”
Jay Z also performed the song “Jigga My N—-,” in which he boasted that he was “Jay-Z, motherf——-!”
Just to flesh out the lyrics a little more, here’s the chorus of one those songs:
