She knew and she said nothing

One of the reasons Barack Obama offers in his goal of suppression of vocal outrage over terrorist acts by Muslims is that he seeks their cooperation in the fight against Islamic, er, homegrown or foreign domestic workplace lone wolf violence.

President Obama on Wednesday described the fight against violent extremism as a “generational challenge” that would require the cooperation of governments, religious leaders, educators and law enforcement. But even before he called on more than 60 nations to join the effort, the rise of the Islamic State and the attacks by homegrown terrorists in Paris, Ottawa, Copenhagen and Sydney, Australia, had jolted American Muslims into action.

In the meanwhile we can, as obama suggested a few years back, continue to absorb more attacks– even another 9-11 attack. Willingly, it seems:

Washington is reveling this week in one of its oldest traditions – dissecting a Bob Woodward book that analyzes the sitting president. While much focus will be given to what one senior official said about another senior official, there is real news that deserves the bulk of the attention. Specifically, President Barack Obama’s shocking statement to Woodward that “we [America] can absorb another terrorist attack.

He goes on to say: “We’ll do everything we can to prevent it, but even a 9/11, even the biggest attack ever…we absorbed it and we are stronger.”

It seems that Noor Mateen knew something about Omar Mateen’s plan to attack:

The wife of Orlando attacker Omar Mateen, Noor Salman, drove him to Pulse nightclub at least once before the attack, was with him when he purchased a holster and ammunition and attempted to talk him out of the shooting, NBC reported Tuesday.

The NBC report states that Salman is currently cooperating with law enforcement officials. Sources told NBC that she had “some idea” of the attack before if occurred early Sunday morning. It’s now possible that she will face charges.

While the report does not state when Salman drove him to the nightclub, it does say that Mateen expressed interest in the club to his wife.

Fox News confirms the wife knew about the plan.

Now FoxNews.com has learned from an FBI source that federal prosecutors have convened a grand jury against Salman, seeking to charge her as an accessory to 49 counts of murder and 53 counts of attempted murder as well as with failure to notify law enforcement about the pending terrorist attack and lying to federal agents.

When is Obama’s fantasy cooperation coming? How many more attacks have to be endured? How many more have to die?
