College Football Team Fires University President, says Steve Sailer at VDARE. And they have. Piqued because their demands have not been met, some of the football players at the University of Missouri threatened to go on strike. They bagged a President and a Chancellor:
The University of Missouri system’s president, Tim Wolfe, and the chancellor of the flagship campus, R. Bowen Loftin, announced on Monday that they were resigning their posts in the face of growing protests by African-American students, the threat of a walkout by faculty and a strike by football players who said the administrators had done too little to combat racism on campus.
Students there claim to have had their feelings hurt repeatedly. Pay attention to this one in particular:
In addition, a swastika drawn in feces was found recently in a dormitory bathroom. Protesters at Missouri galvanized around a group called Concerned Student 1950, which gets its name from the year the university accepted its first black student.

The movement comes more than a year after a white police officer in Ferguson, Mo., shot and killed Michael Brown, an unarmed black teenager, spurring a national protest. The St. Louis suburb is about 120 miles from the Columbia campus.
Never mind that Brown attacked the white officer.
Never mind that Brown robbed a store and strong-armed the owner.
Never mind that the officer was not found to have violated anyone’s civil rights.
Never mind that Brown was entirely in the wrong.
Never mind that. The two jackasses, Son and Madhani, wanted to fire up the masses. The truth wasn’t going to do that.
There’s a lot of butt hurt going on. Here’s how one snowflake put it:
“I feel pretty isolated,” said Yacim, who is black. “It is a predominantly white institution. And as a black student, there are times when i feel out of place. Seeing that minority students on campus can stick together and make things happen has been a really great experience. “
To combat this butthurt, Missou is opting for a full blitz on free speech.
On Monday afternoon, activists who had demanded Wolfe’s resignation abruptly demanded that media stop covering their activities on the public campus of the taxpayer-funded university. At the center of those demands was Melissa Click, an assistant professor of mass media within Mizzou’s communications department.
Click wanted some “muscle” to help her stop the media from covering the protests. (Video at the link)
On taxpayer-owned public land in a taxpayer funded school.
Not wanting to miss out on proving just how freaking stupid they are, the Missouri University PD sent out emails urging students to call them if their feelings get hurt by someone calling them a poopy head. The MUPD is ready and willing to sacrifice the Constitutional rights of students at the altar of political correctness.
This is political correctness on steroids. It has now gotten so bad than Jonathan Chait is shaking his head:
That these activists have been able to prevail, even in the face of frequently harsh national publicity highlighting the blunt illiberalism of their methods, confirms that these incidents reflect something deeper than a series of one-off episodes. They are carrying out the ideals of a movement that regards the delegitimization of dissent as a first-order goal. People on the left need to stop evading the question of political correctness — by laughing it off as college goofs, or interrogating the motives of p.c. critics, or ignoring it — and make a decision on whether they agree with it.
All this mollycoddling makes you wonder- who is going to be the nanny for these snowflakes once they’re beyond the penumbra of PC umbrella? Who’s going to hold their hands, blow their noses, dry their tears and give them a glass of warm milk once they’re in the real world? Who’s going to arrest those who hurt their feelings? Who’s going to rub their butt hurt?
Speaking of poopy heads, something stinks about all this. Sean Davis:
A reported incident of vandalism at Mizzou sparked university-wide protests, a boycott by the school’s 4-5 football team, and eventually the resignation of the university’s president and chancellor.
There’s only one problem: no evidence of the alleged incident, in which a poop swastika on the wall of a dormitory restroom was reported, has ever been made publicly available. Did this incident occur as reported, or was it an immaculate defecation that formed the foundation of an unimaginable deception?
Seems that there is no evidence of the poopstika at all:
Maj. Brian Weimer, the public information officer for the Mizzou police department, told The Federalist that he also did not personally see the poop swastika that was reported to police. When asked if anyone in the police department personally witnessed the swastika, Maj. Weimer clammed up and referred all questions about the incident to the university’s custodian of public records.
It would surprise few should this turn out to be a hoax. If it is, it would be a very costly hoax.
Those on the football team who threatened to strike should be dismissed from the team. There is no right to play football. Click should be terminated.
This is nuts. The University of Missouri has become a fetid cesspool of political correctness. It is a complete laughingstock.
