Back in 1995 Philip Howard published a book called “The Death of Common Sense.” It was about government smothering people with regulations. Today we might write another book- The Death of Personal Responsibility. Personal responsibility has been murdered- smothered by the same liberals who ended the life of common sense.
In what has to be a monumental embarrassment, it has been disclosed that Rachel Dolezal, the head of the Spokane NAACP, is as white as Barack Obama’s mother. Dolezal’s father said that she is “clearly as white as we are.” Rachel’s mom added
“She has not explained to us why she has disguised herself and been deceptive about her ethnicity, so we can’t explain to you.”
Rachel’s brother says that the appearance of her skin color is “blackface.”
“She told me not to blow her cover about the fact that she had this secret life or alternate identity,” Ezra Dolezal said Saturday. “She told not to tell anybody about Montana or her family over there. She said she was starting a new life … and this one person over there was actually going to be her black father.”
Dolezal has a psychological problem but then so does the NAACP, which has chosen to defend this race imposter.
What is the response from liberals? It is to defend the fraud, rather to hold Dolezal to account.
They blame the family for outing her!
The ever-execrable Al Sharpton:
“On one level, you’ve got to say to her, ‘you’re misleading us’, but another level, mom and dad, come on,” Sharpton said. “Are we gonna have this dysfunctional family stuff play out and distract us from key civil rights causes?
Sharpton then brought up the fact that Dolazel’s parents knew about their daughter’s involvement in the NAACP, saying they betrayed their daughter by waiting until she became a center of attention. “You’ve got to ask the question, ‘what are Mom and Dad’s motives here… where’ve you been?”
Mom and Dad’s motives? They were asked about her race. They answered honestly. Her brother asserts that Dolezal asked that they keep her fraud a secret.
The painfully stupid Cher: it’s the parents’ fault!
Never mind the false hate crimes reports. Never mind Dolezal’s sheer hypocrisy:
Rachel Dolezal once did not let a student participate in a class activity about race and culture because she did not appear Hispanic enough, the student told BuzzFeed News on Friday.
Dolezal, president of the Spokane, Washington, chapter of the NAACP, gained notoriety Thursday when her parents disclosed that she has been passing herself off as black for years. The revelation has prompted questions about the other aspects of Dolezal’s life, including claims that she has been the victim of hate crimes and received threatening letters.
She’s mentally ill. She’s a fraud. She filed numerous false reports. She’s a liar.
None of that matters to liberals. According to liberals, the blame lies with the family who dared to tell the truth about her. This is a recurring pattern among liberals. They choose never to assign blame to those whose wrong actions put themselves and others sometimes in grave peril. It’s always someone else’s fault.
Michael Brown
There was a veritable tsunami of stupidity following the Michael Brown shooting. Liberals not only didn’t wait for the facts but they leaped to pour blame on Officer Darren Wilson and the “man.” Whose fault is it that Michael Brown is dead? It is Michael Brown’s fault.
The bottom line still remains- Michael Brown is dead because of his own actions. I haven’t once seen anyone ask Michael Brown’s parents about his record or why they thought he robbed the store and shoved around the proprietor. Race was a contributor but not in the way everyone thinks. Obama spoke of mistrust of the police. It’s more than that- much more. Michael Brown didn’t respect a white cop. He didn’t think he had to obey the orders of a white cop. He thought he could attack a white cop without fear of repercussions. He was brought up that way. That’s why he’s dead.
No one- including Barack Obama- was willing to pin the blame where it belongs. It was someone else’s fault.
Freddie Gray
Why is Freddie Gray dead? We still don’t know for sure since prosecutor Marilyn Mosby is actively suppressing all evidence. But we do know that he ran from the cops. Gray may have run because he had a long rap sheet and was taken into custody in possession of an illegal knife. The real irony is that Mosby ramped up drug patrols in the area where Gray was arrested and Gray’s rap sheet was all about drugs. Liberals blame the cops, Mosby prosecutes the cops, and not one single liberal places any responsibility with Gray.
Bikini girl
Bikini girl was a participant in an unsanctioned pool party in McKinney Texas. She wound up being shoved to the ground and pinned. One can argue that more force than necessary was used but she repeatedly ignored the legal orders of a cop and she deserved to be arrested. She refused to leave the area and she mouthed off to the police officer several times. Brain dead liberals reacted in a predictable manner, placing all of the blame on the cop. The cop was all alone for a while trying to secure the area. Many of the youths felt they simply did not need to respect his lawful orders. Say what you want about the cop’s actions but bikini girl should have obeyed the cop and left the area. Had she done so none of this would have happened. Again, not one stupid liberal has said it.
In every single one of these events, had authority and law been respected none of them would have happened. That matters not to liberals.
Rachel Dolezal is merely the latest symptom of the this latest liberal disease. The proper name for it is occidere personali responsabilitate.
Killing personal responsibility.
Liberals are bent on destroying personal responsibility with the same fervor they bring to the war on common sense. So here’s the liberal message to all you kids out there:
Do whatever you want. Disobey all authority. Respect nothing.
We’ve got your back.
And if you get killed, we’ll be sure to blame someone other than you.
