Why does race suddenly lose importance in specific incidents?

You might remember the Michael Brown shooting. Here’s a recap of how the story was handled in the media:

The Savopoulos family was murdered not long ago in Washington DC. The murders were gruesome and heinous. Four people were bound and at least three, including a ten year boy, were stabbed.

Read the story. Any and all of them. It’s really curious how some things just aren’t worth mentioning in selected incidents. It is really curious that race is suddenly unimportant when whites die at the hands of blacks.

Why is that?

The Savopouloses were white and unarmed. Not newsworthy? There was no mention whether Figueroa was Hispanic or a white Hispanic.

It’s all very curious.
