Let’s review what Islam brings to the world lately, beyond the Charlie Hebdo murders.

Radical Islam a growing threat to sub-Saharan Christians – report

Radical Islamists were the main persecutors of Christians around the world last year, not only in the Middle East but increasingly in sub-Saharan Africa, according to an annual survey monitoring religious freedom.

Open Doors, an international group supporting persecuted Christians worldwide, said on Wednesday Islamic militants posed the greatest threat to the faith in 18 of the 20 countries that its annual World Watch List says are toughest for Christians.

Rankings are based on the group’s analysis of violence against Christians and official or informal restrictions on rights to practise their faith, convert from other religions and enjoy the same civil liberties as other citizens.

Topping the list of Christians confirmed to have been killed for faith-related reasons were Nigeria at 2,484 and Central African Republic at 1,088, with Syria and Iraq – where Islamic State militants have driven hundreds of thousands of Christians from areas they control – at 271 and 60 respectively.

Boko Haram runs rampant in North Africa, persecuting and killing Christians. All in the name of Allah.

Quran (2:191-193) – “And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out. And Al-Fitnah [disbelief] is worse than killing…
but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah [disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allah] and worship is for Allah alone.

Quran (2:216) – “Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not.”

I did ask a Muslim friend of mine what this could possibly mean other than what it says. He’s not really a firm believer. Realistically, he’s a liberal capitalist. Anyway, he said “You don’t understand.” OK, I said, help me out. “It takes years of study” he replied. The bottom line is that it means whatever a mullah wants it to mean at any given time.

So what does happen as Islam grows within a democratic country? All sorts of fun things. In what has become an annual celebration, marauding “youths” torch thousands of cars in France.

Sweden threw open its doors it Muslim immigration:

Sweden’s population grew from 9 million to 9.5 million in the years 2004-2012, mainly due to immigration from “countries like Afghanistan, Iraq and Somalia”. 16 percent of all newborns have mothers born in non-Western countries. Employment rate among immigrants: 54 percent.

And the payoff?

Sweden now has the second highest number of rapes in the world, after South Africa, which at 53.2 per 100,000 is six times higher than the United States. Statistics now suggest that 1 out of every 4 Swedish women will be raped.

Selwyn Duke adds:

Seventy-seven percent of these rapes are committed by “foreigners”; the vast majority of these are Muslim, while most of their victims are native Swedes. And these figures, say critics, are likely low-ball estimates by authorities that would prefer to whitewash the problem altogether.

I can’t remember how many times I’ve been to Norway. At one time rape was pretty much unknown there. Now?

Norway’s Minister of Justice from 2001 to 2005, Odd Einar Dørum, mentioned the problem in 2001 but has later gone quiet about the issue. The reported number of rapes in Oslo is now six – 6! – times as high per capita as in New York City, yet the media keeps warning against Islamophobia.

According to Aftenposten, the clinic (voldtektsmottak) at the emergency hospital known as Legevakt has never had so many rape victims to treat. Its ability to care for them all is being severely tested. The number of reported rapes has skyrocketed this year.

And it’s the potential victims who must alter their behavior:

Two out of three charged with rape in Norway’s capital are immigrants with a non-western background according to a police study. The number of rape cases is also rising steadily. Unni Wikan, a professor of social anthropology at the University of Oslo, in 2001 said that “Norwegian women must take their share of responsibility for these rapes” because Muslim men found their manner of dress provocative. The professor’s conclusion was not that Muslim men living in the West needed to adjust to Western norms, but the exact opposite: “Norwegian women must realize that we live in a Multicultural society and adapt themselves to it.”

Again- note that Islam demands that YOU change to accommodate it. It’s NEVER the other way around.

A Norwegian woman in Dubai learned this the hard way. After reporting to the police that she had been raped she found herself facing a 16 month prison sentence.

The 24-year-old was convicted and sentenced on charges of having unlawful sex, making a false statement and illegal consumption of alcohol.

Her story is dominating the headlines in Norway, and has raised serious questions over the way women who allege sexual assault are treated in the United Arab Emirates.

Dalelv, who had been working at an interior design firm in Qatar since September 2011, told CNN on Saturday how a work trip to Dubai in March with three colleagues turned into a nightmare.

She could take comfort in knowing she’s far from alone:

In December 2012, a British woman reported being raped by three men in Dubai. She was found guilty of drinking alcohol without a license and fined.

In January 2010, a British woman told authorities she was raped by an employee at a Dubai hotel. She was charged with public intoxication and having sex outside of marriage.

An Australian woman reported in 2008 that she was drugged and gang-raped. She was convicted of having sex outside marriage and drinking alcohol, and she was sentenced to 11 months in prison.

We’ve previously noted the impact of Islam on Western society:

— Weighted Relative International Rape Scale, the countries with the highest number of rapes are either Islamic countries OR those with a high Muslim population.
— Almost 70% of all rapes committed in Denmark are committed by Muslims.
— 100% of assault rapes between strangers were committed by immigrant, non-Western Muslim males. And nine out of 10 of their victims were native Norwegian women.
— There’s a Rape Wave in Sweden, due to the increased Muslim population.
— 1 in 4 Swedish women will be raped by a Muslim, as sexual assaults increase 500%.
— Pakistani Muslim men in England, who “groomed” young white British girls for rape gangs, called the victims “white trash”.
— According to the Brussels Journal, Muslims are 6 times more likely to commit rape.

France is seeing the growth of “mini-Islamic states” within its borders, and France allows them to go unimpeded:

A backdrop to the massacre in Paris on Wednesday by self-professed al Qaeda terrorists is that city officials have increasingly ceded control of heavily Muslim neighborhoods to Islamists, block by block.

There is a definite goal:

France has Europe’s largest population of Muslims, some of whom talk openly of ruling the country one day and casting aside Western legal systems for harsh, Islam-based Shariah law.

These areas a fertile areas for growing terrorists:

While not a complete safe-haven for al Qaeda-type operatives, Paris and other French cities have become more fertile places for Muslim extremists in the past decade. City leaders have allowed virtual Islamic mini-states to thrive as Muslims gain power to govern in their own way.

“There are no-go areas not just in Paris, but all over France, where they are effectively in control,” said Robert Spencer, who directs JihadWatch.org, a nonprofit that monitors Muslim extremists.

What’s happening there is also happening here, courtesy of all too willing liberals:

“What they are trying to do is shut down any sort of criticism of Islam, any sort of speech, cartoons, discussion, anything,” he said. “Essentially, the French government and the other European governments have lost control over the situation. It’s a snowball that is growing bigger and bigger, in particular over the past 10 years.”

Liberals, so eager to prove their openness, entertain nonsense that is just amazingly illogical:

MSNBC reporter Ayman Mohyeldin disaggregated terrorism from Islamic stereotypes on Morning Joe Thursday morning, arguing that radicalized violence was a societal problem that was not endemic to or correlated with Islam.

The problem of Islam is not a problem of religion, he claims. Now, remember what I said about the Quran?

“So two Muslim countries, predominantly Muslim populations, have interpreted their religion to mean two different things on capabilities of women and what women can do.”

Exactly. Islam is a religion, it is a government, it is a philosophy, it is a set of laws, it is government. They are inseparable. And they all mean whatever someone wants them to mean at any given moment. In other words, in being anything to anyone, Islam is nothing. There is no “Islam.” There are a million “Islams.” And they all demand that you change to accommodate them.

But dare you criticize Islam, instant outrage erupts. It is that constant outrage that is used as a shield to mask all that transpires under its aegis. That is why I refer to Islam as the Religion of Perpetual Umbrage.

The kuffar need to avoid criticism of the prophet- or else. Anjem Choudary, defending the Hebdo attacks, says we’ve been warned:

Contrary to popular misconception, Islam does not mean peace but rather means submission to the commands of Allah alone. Therefore, Muslims do not believe in the concept of freedom of expression, as their speech and actions are determined by divine revelation and not based on people’s desires.

Although Muslims may not agree about the idea of freedom of expression, even non-Muslims who espouse it say it comes with responsibilities. In an increasingly unstable and insecure world, the potential consequences of insulting the Messenger Muhammad are known to Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
Muslims consider the honor of the Prophet Muhammad to be dearer to them than that of their parents or even themselves. To defend it is considered to be an obligation upon them. The strict punishment if found guilty of this crime under sharia (Islamic law) is capital punishment implementable by an Islamic State. This is because the Messenger Muhammad said, “Whoever insults a Prophet kill him.”

However, because the honor of the Prophet is something which all Muslims want to defend, many will take the law into their own hands, as we often see.

Which really means Islam and democracy are incompatible.

The Islam portion of the Hebdo cartoon is pixlated out, but insulting Jews is de rigueur, and the same applies to Christians.

The media is in full Muslim protection mode. The NY Times has taken to outright lying. The editors changed the copy of a first account from this:

Sigolène Vinson, a freelancer who had decided to come in that morning to take part in the meeting, thought she would be killed when one of the men approached her.

Instead, she told French news media, the man said, “I’m not going to kill you because you’re a woman, we don’t kill women, but you must convert to Islam, read the Quran and cover yourself,” she recalled.

to this:

Ms. Vinson said in an interview that she dropped to the floor and crawled down the hall to hide behind a partition, but one of the gunmen spotted her and grabbed her by the arm, pointing his gun at her head. Instead of pulling the trigger, though, he told her she would not be killed because she was a woman.

“Don’t be afraid, calm down, I won’t kill you,” the gunman told her in a steady voice, with a calm look in his eyes, she recalled. “You are a woman. But think about what you’re doing. It’s not right.”

Jim Treacher:

So, imagine yourself as an NYT editor for a moment, if you can withstand the nausea. Why would you specifically take out the part about the Islamic terrorist proselytizing for Islam in the middle of the terrorist attack? Why delete this woman’s account of being threatened at gunpoint and being told to convert to Islam?

That’s easy. Because you’re one of America’s moral, ethical, and intellectual betters, and you don’t want it to be true. Your reporter hastily left that inconvenient truth in her story by accident, so you airbrushed it out, without any acknowledgment, to preserve the narrative. You turned it into, “Hey, maybe these guys aren’t so bad after all. They didn’t kill the women, right? Let’s not be too hasty.”

Because that’s your job.

The New York Times is garbage.

The left is in complete denial of the involvement of Islam in the murders and some blame the victims.

Yes it is garbage. I happened to come into possession of an image at a meeting the NY Times editors following a discussion of the Hebdo coverage.

Obama promises us “re-education” about Islam and to redouble his efforts to explain why when Islam kills it’s really in the name of peace.

He can start by explaining some of the quotes from the Quran I posted above.

Josh Earnest:

“There are some individuals that are using a peaceful religion and grossly distorting it, and trying to use its tenets to inspire people around the globe to carry out acts of violence.”

Whose Islam, Josh? Whose version? Which day? What mullah? Where can we look it up?

Exit question- how does he know that the version of Islam they’re shoving down our throats is the real one? What makes them so God damn sure the Charlie Hebdo/9-11 version isn’t the real one? al-Silm (i.e. “Islam”) means “surrender.” The Arabic word for peace is “salaam.” Maybe Obama can explain why it’s not called “Salaam.”

As I said, Islam is whatever any mullah wants it to be at any time and anything in the Quran can be used to justify any action. You can’t have a football game in which every ref has his own set of rules. It doesn’t work.

It is incompatible with democracy and frankly, the civilized world.
