The responsibility Obama bears for the deaths of two New York policemen

There has been a lot of hand wringing over the murders of two New York City police officers. There is an equal outpouring of finger pointing over responsibility.

I do blame Obama. He contributed and in no small measure to the tragedy in New York.

First, let’s crank up the Wayback Machine again. Let’s recall some of Barack Obama’s past violence-inspiring rhetoric.

Obama: “They Bring a Knife…We Bring a Gun”
Obama to His Followers: “Get in Their Faces!”
Obama on ACORN Mobs: “I don’t want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry! I’m angry!”
Obama to His Mercenary Army: “Hit Back Twice As Hard”
Obama on the private sector: “We talk to these folks… so I know whose ass to kick.“
Obama to voters: Republican victory would mean “hand to hand combat”
Obama to lib supporters: “It’s time to Fight for it.
Obama to Latino supporters: “Punish your enemies.”

Pretty nasty stuff. You’d think someone might think twice before spewing out such words lest someone take them to heart.

Obama thrives on conflict:

Obama’s search for an enemy

Being President means you don’t have to let the facts get in the way of a plan to divide and conquer.

And then more recently:

Obama’s Operation Revenge

“He needs to run, to compete – or more to the point, he needs someone to run against,” a former top Obama adviser told me.

He needs an enemy. He’ll create one if he needs one. And create one he did. He helped create the Frankenstein monster that killed two cops.

How?

By perpetuating the lies. Obama, Sharpton, Holder and De Blasio all perpetuate the same big lies. First, there is not a whit of evidence that the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner have the slightest whiff of racism. That isn’t stopping any of them from making them into racial crusades.

Obama leaped in front of the cameras when Henry Gates was arrested and called the cops “stupid.” He again found the cameras when Trayvon Martin was shot and said Martin could have been his son. After the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner Obama held in interview with BET. Despite there not being any evidence that either death was racially tinged Obama co-opted the tragedies to forward his own racial agenda. Without a doubt there are examples of unfair racial treatment by police but these weren’t them and the distinction should be made. Obama and company should be making clear that race does not underlie these events. Instead, he’s making it worse:

As he noted in the first half of his interview, teased Sunday, the clear video evidence available in the chokehold death of Eric Garner, a black man, in Staten Island in July has helped the broader public come to believe there are racial inequalities in the criminal justice system in a way the shooting death of Michael Brown, also black, in Ferguson, Missouri, in August, did not. In both cases, grand juries failed to indict the white police officers responsible for their deaths.

“It used to be folks would say, ‘Well, maybe blacks are exaggerating. Some of these situations aren’t what they describe,'” Obama said. “What we’ve now seen on television — now for everybody to see — gives us the opportunity to finally have the conversation, that you know, has been a long time coming.”

Garner was not apprehended in a given way because he was black. He was taken down because he was resisting arrest. The order to crack down on Garner came first from Andrew Cuomo and then from Philip Banks, the black NYPD Chief of Department.

In dwelling on race, Obama glosses over and distracts from the basics. The problem here is not the cops. It’s not excessive force. It’s not race.

The problem is crime. The problem is a lack of accountability. The problem is the lack of personal responsibility. Neither Obama nor Sharpton nor Holder nor De Blasio want to face that and they don’t want you to focus on it. It’s what Obama has been derelict in not saying that makes everything worse.
They perpetuate the lie. That is why things don’t get better for anyone.

The community organizer thrives on conflict. He foments hate. He seeks revenge.

Obama wanted to people to stay angry. They are.
Obama wanted people to “get in their faces”. They are- and with guns.
Obama wanted people to “punish your enemies.” They are.
Obama said he wanted them to “fight for it.” They are.

Too many people don’t feel they need to respect the police, the law or the rights and property of others.

In this, Obama has succeeded. He helped create the atmosphere that now one almost can’t breathe. Don’t tell me he’s not to blame.

NYPD chief: Cops feel ‘under attack’ from feds

Police nationwide believe that they are “under attack from the federal government at the highest levels,” New York City Police Commissioner William Bratton said Sunday.

“They really do feel under attack, rank and file officers and much of American police leadership, that they feel that they are under attack from the federal government at the highest levels,” Bratton said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
