Reaching Critical Mass

The Puppet Master

There is an undefined point, when a government is so corrupt and incompetent, that citizens will no longer be willing to defend it.

Iran or maybe Obama’s chief handler Valerie Jarrett, the Iranian Mole, seems to be playing our president, he who has no experience at anything, like the proverbial fish on a line, but just maybe, one of Iran’s homicidal maniacs has read the writing of old Sun Tzu. It’s a cinch, none of our president’s people have a clue on anything but ideological rhetoric, and the followers of old Karl Marx have never been good at foreign policy.

The quotes have been there to read for 2400 years, but some people are too busy hobnobbing with celebrities and fund raising to be concerned with defeating out enemies. Sun Tzu was a master at defeating the enemy; in fact, he considered it foolish to engage his troops, until he was assured of victory.

He understood warfare and he was an extremely successful general and tactician. The quotes from his book will verify this fact:

“There is no instance of a nation benefitting from prolonged warfare.”

Oh, yes, it’s true, Obama isn’t interested in victory; in fact, he maintains that al Qaeda and the Taliban aren’t our enemies.

“All war is based on deception”

It would only be wishful thinking to believe Obama is trying to lure our enemies into complacency to kill them; however, it might not be the enemy, he is trying to lure into complacency.

Sun Tzu believed the opportunity for defeat is determined by your own actions, strategy, and tactics.

“The opportunity to secure ourselves against defeat lies in our own hands, but the opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself.”

“Hence that general is skillful in attack, whose enemy does not want to defend: he is skillful in defense, whose enemy does not know what to attack.”

We are a nation of lions led by a buffoon and his comedic opera troupe. We face not only economic hardship and the possibility of economic meltdown, but people are awakening to the realization that our finest military, is having its officer ranks purged. Is our military becoming the vanguard for international Socialism? Is it Obama or is Jarrett testing the water to see how far and how fast the American people can be pushed, before they say enough is enough.

Now, we play the game of letting Iran acquire nuclear weapons, while we degrade our own weapon systems and leave Israel to ponder their own annihilation.

Anecdotal Marine Story, one that happened many times:

Young Marines often half/joked when challenged on perimeter:

“Who goes there?” a Marine on Perimeter calls out in challenge.

“Smedley Butler, you mother f’er” said a frustrated Marine coming in.

“Yea, right, and I’m the Commandant,” replied the Marine on Perimeter.

It was low-level security among tired Marines, but none of them knew who Smedley Butler really was or of his history beyond his active duty days. He was the Marine’s Marine, no one can discount that fact, but when he retired, he viewed the American political scene with a jaundiced eye.

Excerpt from a speech delivered in 1933, by Major General Smedley Butler, USMC.

War is just a racket. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of people. Only a small inside group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few at the expense of the masses.

I believe in adequate defense at the coastline and nothing else. If a nation comes over here to fight, then we’ll fight. The trouble with America is that when the dollar only earns 6 percent over here, then it gets restless and goes overseas to get 100 percent. Then the flag follows the dollar and the soldiers follow the flag.

I wouldn’t go to war again as I have done to protect some lousy investment of the bankers. There are only two things we should fight for. One is the defense of our homes and the other is the Bill of Rights. War for any other reason is simply a racket.

There isn’t a trick in the racketeering bag that the military gang is blind to. It has its “finger men” to point out enemies, its “muscle men” to destroy enemies, its “brain men” to plan war preparations, and a “Big Boss” Super-Nationalistic-Capitalism.

It may seem odd for me, a military man to adopt such a comparison. Truthfulness compels me to. I spent thirty- three years and four months in active military service as a member of this country’s most agile military force, the Marine Corps. I served in all commissioned ranks from Second Lieutenant to Major-General. And during that period, I spent most of my time being a high class muscle- man for Big Business, for Wall Street and for the Bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism.

I suspected I was just part of a racket at the time. Now I am sure of it. Like all the members of the military profession, I never had a thought of my own until I left the service. My mental faculties remained in suspended animation while I obeyed the orders of higher-ups. This is typical with everyone in the military service.

I helped make Mexico, especially Tampico, safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefits of Wall Street. The record of racketeering is long. I helped purify Nicaragua for the international banking house of Brown Brothers in 1909-1912 (where have I heard that name before?). I brought light to the Dominican Republic for American sugar interests in 1916. In China I helped to see to it that Standard Oil went its way unmolested.

During those years, I had, as the boys in the back room would say, a swell racket. Looking back on it, I feel that I could have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents.

General Butler became disillusioned with his government; a government he saw as a corrupt cabal of capitalist gangsters. The Marines Corps only taught new Marines of the military accomplishments of General Butler, his views of capitalism and its control of government were never mentioned.

General Butler reached the point of his critical mass, the point when he no longer believes in his corrupt government. Although General Butler is considered one of the greatest Marines and a patriotic American, he reached his limit.

Now, we have an unelected and unvetted senior advisor to the president, a woman the press refers to as his chief advisor, whom he admits advises him on all important issues. Like our president, Jarrett was raised in a family of Communists with heavy Muslim influences and radical connections like Bill Ayers. These influences are not damning by themselves, but when the American public is questioning whether this administration has America’s best interests in mind, the connections seem more significant with the passage of time.

America is moving glacially slow, but we are drawing ever nearer to the point of Critical Mass, when we the people have decided enough is enough.

Critical Mass

Although two to three neutrons are produced for every fission, not all of these neutrons are available for continuing the fission reaction. If the conditions are such that the neutrons are lost at a faster rate than they are formed by fission, the chain reaction will not be self-sustaining.

At the point where the chain reaction can become self-sustaining, this is referred to as critical mass.

In an atomic bomb, a mass of fissile material greater than the critical mass must be assembled instantaneously and held together for about a millionth of a second to permit the chain reaction to propagate before the bomb explodes

The amount of a fissionable material’s critical mass depends on several factors; the shape of the material, its composition and density, and the level of purity.

A sphere has the minimum possible surface area for a given mass, and hence minimizes the leakage of neutrons. By surrounding the fissionable material with a suitable neutron “reflector”, the loss of neutrons can reduced and the critical mass can be reduced.

By using a neutron reflector, only about 11 pounds (5 kilograms) of nearly pure or weapon’s grade plutonium 239 or about 33 pounds (15 kilograms) uranium 235 is needed to achieve critical mass.

The American public stands on the precipice of Critical Mass, the same position of cynicism General Butler adopted, and now we have tens of thousands of veterans who are justified in asking, “What the hell is going on?”
