Winners of the Trayvon Martin Sweepstakes Bonanza

Trayvon Martin’s death is generally regarded as a tragedy, but for some it has proven to be a jackpot. The winners: Jasmine Rand, Jesse Jackson, Eric Holder, Rachel Jeantel, Ryan Julison, Barack Obama and Al Sharpton.

7. Jasmine Rand
Jasmine Rand is an associate at the law firm of Parks and Crump. Presumably she was hired for her legal talents.

She moved from Whoareyouville to making the grand talking head rounds on TV. As a show of, er, solidarity, she donned a hoodie for an interview with Jake Tapper.

She was flying high. Unfortunately for Rand, she then made an appearance on Greta Susteren’s show and Greta proceeded to hand Rand her head. Bill Jacobson then blasted her assertions about social engineering and eviscerated her arguments about pre-emption.

But given all the face time she’s accumulated on TV, she still comes out a winner.

6. Jesse Jackson

Trayvon Martin’s death rescued Jackson from the garbage heap of history and put Jackson yet again into another race monger recycling program. Jackson called for calm proceeding the verdict in the Zimmerman trial but then reverted back to the Jesse we all know and love afterwards. He decided that he does not accept the verdict and has repeatedly referred to Zimmerman as a “murderer.” After correcting another guest who called Zimmerman a murderer, Chris Hayes decided he would not be “All In” with Jackson and simply went limp. Only after the verdict did not go as Jackson wished did Jackson opine that the deck was stacked with regards to the jury.

“There was no man on the jury — Trayvon was a black boy — there was no man, no black on the jury. So at least the idea of jury of your peers was a stretch all the while.”

But as noted, it’s the accused who gets a jury of his peers, not the victim. Today Jackson called Florida “an apartheid state.” Smells like a shakedown in the works.

If I could ask Jackson a question, it would be

“How is Crystal Mangum’s college education proceeding?”

Jackson promised to pay for Mangum’s college education, even it was proved that she lied.

And lie she did. Besides, it wasn’t really going to be Jesse’s money. It would come from Rainbow/PUSH. And probably Coca Cola and Heublein.

5. Eric Holder

Holder used Trayvon Martin’s death to further his agenda of abolishing gun ownership for law abiding citizens. He railed against Florida’s “Stand your ground” law despite the fact that the Zimmerman defense never used it.

And talk about irony. It turns out that Florida’s Stand Your Ground laws disproportionately favor black people.

And hang on, the we’re not done ironying. In his speech to the NAACP Holder said

“We must stand our ground to ensure that our laws reduce violence and take a hard look at laws that contribute to more violence than they prevent,”

During the Zimmerman trial 61 people were murdered in Chicago, seven were under 18 years old.

Holder let it be known that the DOJ is conducting an investigation into whether Trayvon Martin’s civil rights were violated despite the fact the the FBI concluded that Zimmerman was no racist.

In his political persecution and political prosecution of Zimmerman, Holder apparently has decided that Zimmerman is guilty and all he need now is proof so the DOJ has created an email tipline to troll for anyone who wants to say something ill of George Zimmerman. They will hunt George Zimmerman down and convict him of something, even if it’s loitering.

And that will make Holder a winner- to some, anyway.

4. Rachel Jeantel

Rachel Jeantel was a witness for the prosecution in the Zimmerman trial but she proved to be a gift for the defense. She is a 19 year old self-described “3.0” student who can’t read cursive and who lied repeatedly under oath because her deposition “didn’t mean nothing to me.”

Subsequent to her testimony, Jeantel admitted that she told Trayvon Martin to run because she thought George Zimmerman could be a gay rapist and that she believes Martin threw the first punch in the altercation.

Jeantel also took the opportunity to educate America about the proper use of the words “ni**a”, “ni**er” and “creepy ass cracka.”

About the first two
:

Jeantel explained to Morgan that “the whole world say it’s a racist word” but the version of the word that she testified Martin had used in reference to Zimmerman, spelled “n-i-g-g-a” doesn’t mean what most people think it means. It doesn’t mean a “black male” as Morgan assumed, she said, but rather any kind of man, including “Chinese” for example. Morgan helpfully pointed out that that’s the version rappers use in their music.

“But nigger,” Jeantel said, stressing the “-er.,” is a “racist word.” She said “I’d advise you not to be by black people” when you say that word, Jeantel explained, “because they’re not going to have it like that.” And this is not just in her community as Morgan posited but in the entire “generation.”

She said that “creepy ass cracka” was not a racial term:

RACHEL JEANTEL, FRIEND OF TRAYVON: Well, the jury, they see their facts. My thoughts of the jury, they old, that’s old school people. We in a new school, our generation, my generation. So –

PIERS MORGAN: Let’s talk about ‘creepy ass cracka.’ People have said that that is a phrase used by black people, cracka, to describe a white person. Is that true?

JEANTEL: No! Like I said –

MORGAN: How do you spell it, first of all?

JEANTEL: Cracka.

MORGAN: There’s no ‘e-r,’ right?

JEANTEL: No, it’s an ‘a’ at the end.

MORGAN: C-r-a-c-k-a.

JEANTEL: Yeah. And that’s a person who act like they’re a police [officer], who, like a security guard who acting like — that’s what I said to them. Trayvon said creepy ass cracka.

MORGAN: It means he thought it was a police or a security guard?

JEANTEL: Yeah, he acting like the police. And then he keep telling me that the man is still watching him. So, if it was a security guard or a policeman, they would come up to Trayvon and say, ‘Do you have a problem? Do you need help?’ You know, like normal people.

Except when it is, as she testified in court:

PROSECUTOR: Is that to mean, you mean like a white individual?

JEANTEL: Yes, Caucasian.

Following this awakening, Rush Limbaugh felt empowered to use the term “ni**a”, for which he was immediately blasted for being a racist by the left.

Still, Jeantel has seen a sartorial evolution since the trial:

And liberal talk show host Tom Joyner has offered Jeantel a paid education at “historically black college” of her choice.

Winner

3. Ryan Julison

Julison is the person who turned the tragic but not racially motivated Martin shooting into a race motivated nationwide civil war.

Congratulations to him.

2. Barack Obama

Barack Obama fanned the flames of hatred and racism when he uttered those now immortal words:

“You know, if I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon.”

I don’t believe he meant any of it. I agree with Glenn Reynolds that what Obama was doing was more Alinskyism- dividing the country and shoring up his support from the left. It worked in 2012 as the left endlessly hurled the false accusations of racism against the GOP and the Tea Party. And the Zimmerman innocent verdict will be fuel for fires of hate in 2014.

Winner

1. Al Sharpton

There is no one on Earth as happy that Trayvon Martin was killed than Al Sharpton. Sharpton is largely responsible for George Zimmerman’s arrest and trial. He promised riots protests if Zimmerman was not arrested and Angela Corey complied, charging Zimmerman with second degree murder. Sanford Police Chief Bill Lee explained why Zimmerman was not arrested:

Q. Why was George Zimmerman was not arrested the night of the shooting?

A. When the Sanford Police Department arrived at the scene of the incident, Mr. Zimmerman provided a statement claiming he acted in self-defense, which at the time was supported by physical evidence and testimony. By Florida Statute, law enforcement was prohibited from making an arrest based on the facts and circumstances they had at the time.

Additionally, when any police officer makes an arrest for any reason, the officer must swear and affirm that he/she is making the arrest in good faith and with probable cause. If the arrest is done maliciously and in bad faith, the officer and the city may be held liable.

Lee was subsequently removed from his position to short circuit the legal investigation and allow the political prosecution to proceed.

Sharpton has a glorious history of visiting wrongs on people and inciting deaths:

1987: Sharpton spreads the incendiary Tawana Brawley hoax, insisting heatedly that a 15-year-old black girl was abducted, raped, and smeared with feces by a group of white men. He singles out Steve Pagones, a young prosecutor. Pagones is wholly innocent — the crime never occurred — but Sharpton taunts him: “If we’re lying, sue us, so we can . . . prove you did it.” Pagones does sue, and eventually wins a $345,000 verdict for defamation. To this day, Sharpton refuses to recant his unspeakable slander or to apologize for his role in the odious affair.

1991: A Hasidic Jewish driver in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights section accidentally kills Gavin Cato, a 7-year-old black child, and antisemitic riots erupt. Sharpton races to pour gasoline on the fire. At Gavin’s funeral he rails against the “diamond merchants” — code for Jews — with “the blood of innocent babies” on their hands. He mobilizes hundreds of demonstrators to march through the Jewish neighborhood, chanting, “No justice, no peace.” A rabbinical student, Yankel Rosenbaum, is surrounded by a mob shouting “Kill the Jews!” and stabbed to death.

1995: When the United House of Prayer, a large black landlord in Harlem, raises the rent on Freddy’s Fashion Mart, Freddy’s white Jewish owner is forced to raise the rent on his subtenant, a black-owned music store. A landlord-tenant dispute ensues; Sharpton uses it to incite racial hatred. “We will not stand by,” he warns malignantly, “and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business.” Sharpton’s National Action Network sets up picket lines; customers going into Freddy’s are spat on and cursed as “traitors” and “Uncle Toms.” Some protesters shout, “Burn down the Jew store!” and simulate striking a match. “We’re going to see that this cracker suffers,” says Sharpton’s colleague Morris Powell. On Dec. 8, one of the protesters bursts into Freddy’s, shoots four employees point-blank, then sets the store on fire. Seven employees die in the inferno.

If Sharpton were a white skinhead, he would be a political leper, spurned everywhere but the fringe. But far from being spurned, he is shown much deference. Democrats embrace him. Politicians court him. And journalists report on his comings and goings while politely sidestepping his career as a hatemongering racial hustler.

When Sharpton came to Boston to promote his campaign last week, for example, the news coverage was uniformly upbeat. The Boston Herald noted the “joyous singing and thunderous applause” that greeted the “civil rights leader,” whose “energetic visit left many enthusiastic about his presidential bid.” The Globe announced the arrival of “the colorful and controversial 48-year-old community activist” with a story listing the places and times of his public appearances. The only allusion to his ugly record was a vague quote from a local minister: “He obviously has a lot of history and controversy to overcome.” That was quickly countered by Sharpton’s own self-description as a man known “for my fights against racial profiling and discrimination.”

Well, that isn’t what Steve Pagones or the family of Yankel Rosenbaum or the loved ones of those who were burned alive at Freddy’s Fashion Mart know him for. As they can testify, Sharpton is a vicious liar and a dangerous bigot. As a matter of moral hygiene, his party and the press should be able to say so, too.

Sharpton has continued this wretched behavior. He is calling for “Justice for Trayvon” rallies- peaceful, of course, but it’s not his fault that people utilize the theme to harm others. “This is for Trayvon” has been the rally cry for many alleged assaults. Al has even compared the shooting of Trayvon Martin to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

And as he is not satified with the trial outcome, he has decided that the Federal government needs to continue its persecution of George Zimmerman:

Following the verdict on Friday he said on MSNBC, “Well, I think that this is an atrocity.”

He added, “This is a sad day in the country. I think that we clearly must move on to the next step in terms of the federal government and in terms of the civil courts.”

And he means to make this country miserable until his ego-maniacal hunger is satiated:

“When they’re telling you today, ‘I don’t know if they’re going to get a civil rights trial:’ We will. And we will get a civil trial,” Sharpton said on the “Tom Joyner Morning Show” on Monday morning. “What we’ve watched the last several weeks was not the system correcting itself, it was the people correcting the system. Now we’ve got to finish the job.

It’s as though he knows. It’s as though he is the Attorney General of the US. Or his senior adviser. Or his boss.

Holder takes his orders from Al

As he calls for justice for Trayvon, Sharpton needs not heed the law himself:

So it was no surprise to find Sharpton protesting in front of the Department of Justice Tuesday.

But no such recompense has been had for some of Sharpton’s own violations: $20,000 in illegal campaign contributions to his 2004 presidential campaign were never turned over to the U.S. Treasury despite his agreement to do so. And for years since then — as recently as April 2013 — the Sharpton campaign has continued to commit violations that incurred new fines, then failed to pay them.
~~~~~~
In 2008, Sharpton aides told the Associated Press that he had begun drawing only a “token” salary from his nonprofit to ease the burden on its finances, and in consideration of his substantial earnings from TV appearances. But IRS filings in the years since show he received a salary of between $240,000 and $250,000 each year.
~~~~~~
The Sharpton campaign had previously violated campaign finance regulations three times by failing to file disclosures, incurring fines of $2,150, none of which it has paid. The campaign also failed to file earlier this year, an infraction likely to result in another fine.
~~~~~~
Overall, the campaign is $925,713 in debt. Money is owed to 16 staffers, as well as companies such as UPS.
It was reported that Sharpton still owes $2.6 million in Federal taxes and $800,000 in state taxes.
Can you think of a single positive thing Al Sharpton has ever done?
Yesterday on the raido I heard former representative Allan West read a Booker T. Washington quote he ascribed to race hustlers like Al Sharpton:
“There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs – partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.”
Sharpton can almost single-handedly have you arrested for about anything. Sharpton can incite riots that cause people to die. Sharpton can ignore paying taxes. Sharpton can fail to pay fines. And the Zimmerman case is nothing but a boost for his career of racial exploitation. He is accountable for nothing.
And the still-married Sharpton has a new squeeze. Life is good.
For all that, Al Sharpton is the Grand Prize Winner in the Trayvon Martin Sweepstakes Bonanza.
