Today was chock full of Obamaisms as he spoke today in Israel. First he quoted Saul Alinsky:
In his address in Jerusalem today, President Obama channeled Saul Alinsky, citing the radical community organizer’s defining mantra as he urged young Israelis to “create change” to nudge their leadership to act.
Obama told a crowd of college students at Jerusalem’s main convention center that Israel “has the wisdom to see the world as it is, but also the courage to see the world as it should be.”
One of Alinsky’s major themes was working with the world as it “is” to turn it into the world as “it should be.”
In his defining work, “Rules for Radicals,” which he dedicated to “the first rebel,” Lucifer, Alinsky used those words to lay out his main agenda. He asserted radical change must be brought about by working within a system instead of attacking it from the outside.
“It is necessary to begin where the world is if we are going to change it to what we think it should be. That means working in the system,” wrote Alinsky.
Obama related his Alinsky quote to a suggestion that “peace” begins with the people and not just the leadership – a statement some may relate to community organizing.
He further suggested Israelis do an end-run around the country’s leadership and “create the change that you want to see.”
Then he told the Israeli’s that even though the palestinians have terrorized Israel for decades they should “put themselves in their shoes”
“There is no question that Israel has faced Palestinian factions who turned to terror…but the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and justice must also be recognized,” Obama said. “Put yourself in their shoes – look at the world through their eyes. It is not fair that a Palestinian child cannot grow up in a state of her own, and lives with the presence of a foreign army that controls the movements of her parents every single day.”
Then he tried to compare the conflict between Israel and palestinians with this example:

The U.S. and Canada are two civilized nations. In the conflict between Israel and the palestinians you have a civilized nation fighting a brutal uncivilized terror network. The two are in no way comparable.
Then he brought up Cairo:
Four years ago, I stood in Cairo in front of an audience of young people. Politically, religiously, they must seem a world away. But the things they want – they’re not so different from you. The ability to make their own decisions; to get an education and a good job; to worship God in their own way; to get married and have a family. The same is true of the young Palestinians that I met in Ramallah this morning, and of young Palestinians who yearn for a better life in Gaza.
Yup, he stood up in front of an audience of Egyptians and now look where they are. They have a new dictator who wants “the bloodsuckers” of Isreal destroyed while tearing up any kind of peace treaty they have with Israel. Plus they have The Muslim Brotherhood in charge.
They have less freedom now than in 2009 when he gave that speech.
Way to go O!
And now he thinks because he spoke to a group of youths about how they ‘must understand’ their enemy they will go running out and demand their government concede more land and stop the conflict.
What a narcissistic fool he is.
