Must see video laying out the timeline of the Obama administration ever changing story about the libya attack….coverup?
The Obama administration’s shifting accounts of the fatal attack on the American diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, have left President Obama suddenly exposed on national security and foreign policy, a field where he had enjoyed a seemingly unassailable advantage over Mitt Romney in the presidential race.
…But the questions are likely to come not just from partisan Republicans. The Benghazi attack calls into question the accuracy of intelligence-gathering and whether vulnerable American personnel overseas are receiving adequate protection. Even allies of the president like Senator John Kerry, a Massachusetts Democrat and the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, have petitioned the White House for more information about how the government protects diplomatic installations abroad.
Almost since the smoke cleared in Benghazi, Republicans have accused Mr. Obama’s aides of deliberately playing down the attack. Senator John McCain, Republican of Arizona, condemned the administration’s initial account of the attack as “disgraceful,” saying on CBS that it “shows a fundamental misunderstanding not only of warfare, but of what’s going on in that part of the world.”

Curt, of course it was an attempted cover-up by the Administration. Do you think The Won wanted to have to deal with the fact that there were already warnings about the AQ influence in Libya and that the Libyan Ambassador did not have proper security? Hell, we all knew that two days after the death of Chris Stevens and the other three Americans.
So the game plan became blame it on some stupid movie that only ten people have ever seen, claim the attack, and the deaths of four Americans, is “under investigation” and let Obama continue with his campaign schedule in a race is that going to be much tighter than he, in his arrogance, ever thought it would be.
We also know that Obama was informed of the attack on the Benghazi consulate 90 minutes after it started and being the concerned boss he is, he went to bed. When he was awakened the next morning, Obama was told that four Americans were dead and the Libyan consulate was ashes. And here we are, 17 days later and still no FBI on the ground in Benghazi to do that “investigation” that Obama claims is going on. Why? Is it so dangerous that only CNN reporters, who managed to dig Chris Stevens diary out of the ashes, can function there?
Add to this the Administrations $45 million more given to Syria to aid the rebels even as the UK newspapers report Al Qaeda’s greater influence over the Syrian rebels who are fleeing the Free Syria Army to join with AQ.
In a year, we can call Syria “Egypt 2.0.” If we have to go though another four years with Obama, the entire Middle East will be radicalized, Israel will be in a war for its very life and we will see greater Muslim Brotherhood influence in our own national goverment.
Representative Peter King is calling for the resignation of Ambassador Susan Rice for lying to the American people, our allies, and the world.
Where is the “outrage” among the Liberals, the Left, the Progs over this Lie? Where is the Outrage over dragging a probation violator out in the middle of the night – to appease Islamic Supremacists?
Hello?? 9-11 ?? This happened on 9-11??? Connect the dam dots…
These [R Muslims] are people who lie about one thing in order to do yet another [more horrific] thing…and claim it as being justifiable… Very good at twisting a Lie into the truth…
Sounds a lot like Obumbles doesn’t it? Fast and Furious anyone?
While that is a convenient talking point, Faith7, it’s got nothing to do with truth. The scumbag criminal of dubious intent, Bacile/Nakoula/Youssef, was not “dragged” out in the middle of the night as you and others suggest. He agreed to be interviewed about his probation violations… as he should…. voluntarily. Because he had requested police security for fear (I guess he was scared about all those media camped out on his doorstep… there were no protestors), he went to the station in the midnight hour to avoid as much media and brouhaha as possible. It was his choice to cover his face and disguise himself. He was not being restrained or taken in handcuffed. The police were there for security escorts, and he was not under arrest.
Perhaps you may not have noticed, but this “middle of the night” stuff to avoid public scrutiny is a common choice by celebrities and the notorious… from Lindsay Lohen to George Zimmerman.
Once at the interview, he never returned home and the family went into hiding. He was arrested Thursday for violating his probation terms… as well he should have been. He committed financial fraud using false names via Internet use, and he continued the same behavior after being released. There is nothing about this man that deserves defending by any conservative.
This attempt to make him an “Elian Gonzales” figure, abused by our law enforcement, is embarrassing to hear from conservatives. He is not above our laws, and he is no hero. And, in fact, there is more evidence than not that he was cooperating with terrorists, and that his prior partners in crime also have nefarious contacts. I don’t know about you, but if this guy is terrorist connected, and that was his intent, I want to know.
@Skook #2 – I Love Rep Peter King! – Courageous Man with great Conviction… – when I was in Washington DC last, I went over to see him in his office to personally give him kudos….unfortunately the Congress was in session at the time….
Sorry, I can’t stand watching the Bullshit the MSM [Liberal/Left Bias Press] spews….
This isn’t rocket science…
The Lefty biased press “decided” to put the ‘FOCUS’ on….what “ROMNEY” [a Republican] SAID…to throw this horrible attack on the US away from “The Won” [Obama] and his incompetence…and his not attending 50% of National/Security Briefings???
The MSM moonbats –> [Audio] We all heard the collusion when the Lefty Press was preparing to “gang” up on Romney and his statement…[a statement showing leadership I might add]… These people consider themselves ‘Professionals’????
No, the name “Lap Dogs” fits them well…and for many others involved in these Lies meant to BLAME something or someone else….
When the Hell is America and Americans going to wake up to this obvious incompetence????
Obama and his appeasing Administration and Lap Dogs – NON-Action and their not looking at REALITY and dealing with it is putting every American [home and abroad] in very real danger…
Americans should be disgusted…
@FAITH7:
Of course the press decided to concentrate on what Romney said instead of what the Obama administration didn’t do. How else can the press, who has finally seen the realization of their socialist dream come true, try to guarantee the re-election of the man that is as far left as they are?
Now, let’s change the senario; a major consulate is attacked, four Americans are dead, the Middle East is on fire with protests full of hate for the United States, Al Qaeda flags are flying over a number of American embassies in Middle Eastern nations and President Bush flys to Las Vegas to do a campaign stop and fund raiser. Write those headlines, Faith.
FAITH7
YES VERY TROUBLING TO HEAR OBAMA CHOOSE HIS WORDS CAREFULLY SO TO NOT ATTACK THE TERRORIST MOB WHO KILL FOUR GOOD AND BRAVES AMERICANS,
AND CHOOSE THE DATE OF THEIR INFAMY, TO KILL AND DESTROY AGAIN,
AMERICA HAS FORGET AND WILL NEVER FORGIVE THEM ALL.
WHATEVER OBAMA DO TO PACIFY THEM,
HE WILL NOT PACIFY AMERICANS SO EASY,
No wiggle room for the cake-eaters to levy support for Dear Leader (PBUH) on this, but, the will try their darndest….
There is much more to this story than simply a spontaneous attack on our Consulate in Benghazi and the subsequent coverup. The attack was well planned and executed in a military fashion, complete with military grade weaponry such as mortars and rpgs. The attackers had advance knowledge of the security protocols that were in place to protect the staff at the Consulate and were able to quickly direct their mortar fire on the “safe” house that proved all too “not safe”. Not only was the Consulate taken and the Ambassador killed, but also his aid and two “ex” Navy Seals who had been tasked by the State Department to track down some of the weapons the US had supplied the Libyan rebels, which had mysteriously come up missing after Khadafi fell.
Could it be that our Consulate may have been attacked by members of Al Qaeda using some of the very weapons we supplied them during the Libyan Revolution to overthrow Khadafi?
Since it was Ambassador Stevens who had been the point man on arming the Libyan rebels, he may actually have been killed by some of the very people he helped arm, his Consulate overcome by the very weapons he gave them.
Seems the Obama Administration has a bad habit of putting dangerous weapons in the hands of people who would use them against us.
Ariel
wow that’s like sending a boomerang is in it.
it come right back on target,
I don’t know if the writer is an Obamapologist or telling an unvarnished truth or blowing smoke.
But this part of the ”narrative” is new.
The attack on the American consulate in Benghazi in which the ambassador to Libya was killed seriously disrupted a major intelligence operation based there, according to briefings by Washington officials.

Faith, you can believe that this movie had nothing to do with the arrest of the maker, or you can actually dig into the facts. The movie was released in June, 2012 under the name Innocense of Bn Laden and perhaps 10 people actually viewed it. It was filmed at the makers home. It was first posted on YouTube in English, but later dubbed in Arabic. The maker used an alias in order to make the film.
Now, considering that the maker of the movie was on parole for a federal crime, and was not allowed to have internet access or use an alias, you have to wonder what his parole officer was doing while the maker used his own home for the production. The movie clip was first put on YouTube in English, but later dubbed in Arabic. Who was doing the dubbing and who ordered the dubbed movie to be put on YouTube?
And again, where was the person assigned to monitoring Nakoula’s activities since he was on parole? Why wasn’t he picked up for parole violation during the production of the movie, or when it was first placed on YouTube in July? Seems to me his parole officer needs to find another line of work.
I’m not defending Nakoula. He’s a criminal and should be held to the terms of his parole. But if you think that his recent arrest is just a coincidence, just like the attacks on the American consulate that happened on 9/11 was a coincidence, better think again. Nakoula should have been arrested long ago. His parole officer failed to do their job and I promise you, they still have that job.
And why would any probation officer have any reason to suspect this production was of Bacile/Nakoula/Youssef’s making? Or perhaps probation officers should be monitoring everything and anything to see if their parolee’s are involved? Strikes me as ineffective, intrusive, and counterproductive. Even if they knew he was making a “movie” called “Desert Warrior”, about an Egyptian family, that is not in violation of his probation terms.
Ultimately, the production – which was not released as “Desert Warrior”, but the “Innocence of Muslims” – was not tied to Bacile/Nakoula/Youssef until his involvement with it was disclosed by media, and confirmed by the feds. It was only at that time that the probation officers would know of his violation of his probation terms in the distribution.
That has already been answered by media research. Bacile/Nakooula/Yousset contacted both Terry Jones and Morris Sadek. Sadek was the one who not only got it translated into Arabic, but also made sure that the Egyptian media was in possession of it in the days before Sept 11th. Neither Jones or Sadek ever heard of Bacile/Nakoula/Youssef prior to his contacting them. Both the English (in June) and Arabic translations (September) were published on YouTube by “Sam Bacile”.
Had Sadek not pushed it into the Egyptian press, it was likely that few in the Muslim world would ever know about this production. The choice of that audience, and the timing, was deliberate.
It was filmed on location in Riverside areas, if I remember rightly. Or some other exterior location out of view of modern homes. The animation and post production ADR dubbing were likely done in a home studio.
Added: Correction… not Riverside. Somewhere in LA county, at a place called “Blue Cloud Ranch”.
Here is a redacted version of the film permit from FilmLA.
There are those on this board that I no longer respond to or comment on what they say, which, according to those people, is exactly what they want. They should offer me the same courtesy.
Not “responding” to you, and personally don’t give a rat’s butt what you have to say, retire. I will, however, correct your disinformation campaign.
@MataHarley:
Not responding to me, Mata? Even though you quote my very words in a previous post? Who the hell do you think you are fooling beside yourself?
Just can’t help yourself when it comes to your ego, can you?
Now, ignore me and I will offer you the same courtesy. Or are bad manners just your only forte?
Gee… wasn’t it you who used the “not responding” argument to some of my words as just addressing the points I made to the general forum? I believe your words were “general consumption”, right? Hey… your personal guidelines are just as good for my use as yours.
Your information is wrong. I’m pointing out where your information is wrong. If you don’t like it, keep your cyber clap trap shut. You have no rights to tell me who and when I may address someone. So blow it out your tush, girl.
@MataHarley:
I didn’t QUOTE you, I specifically prefaced my remarks to some one else. But of course, your ego makes you think it is all about you.
IT IS NOT ALL ABOUT YOU, MATA. Deal with it.
So piss off.
Actually, it’s all about facts, retire. Perhaps a foreign concept to you. Deal with it.
@MataHarley:
Your facts are your facts, or sometimes just your opinion. Nothing less, nothing more. But you can’t let it go, can you? I have been leaving you alone, but noooooooooooooo, you don’t have that kind of ethics that allows you to do the same, do you? You think you are such a hot mama that everything you say is gosple. It ain’t, girlie.
Now, you can continue to spar with me, or you can agree to leave me alone and I will give you the same courtesy. Your call. But I am really tired of you trying to f@ck with me every chance you get because you think that there is absolutely no possibility that I frankly don’t give a shit what you have to say.
IT AIN’T ABOUT YOU. THIS BLOG AIN’T ABOUT YOU. THE ARTICLES ON IT ARE NOT ABOUT YOU.
GET OVER YOURSELF BECAUSE YOU JUST AIN’T THAT DAMNED IMPORTANT.
@MataHarley:
Why is anyone still talking about the film or the idiot that made it. The film had absolutely nothing to do with anything. The attack on the Libyan Consulate was a coordinated attack.
BTW, Aqua, those anti-film protests are *still* going on outside US embassies all over the world.
Libya was a planned attack, Aqua. I don’t disagree with that. However Libya is only one of over 55 locations that saw protests, riots and varied attacks. Most were organized using the film as an excuse. But for hypersensitive Muslims, any excuse is a good one.
As a matter of fact, Ansar al Shariah, the group who is suspected of the Libyan consulate/safe house attack, also conducted protests in from the Tibesty Hotel in Benghazi. Don’t think this needs to be an either/or scenario. No one can deny that the film had an negative impact in a multitude of locations…. exactly as it was intended to do. And I suspect that it was designed to create chaos, starting little fires everywhere, as cover.
Each event is different and unique. But I think it’s much like any protest. Some are there to protest something in particular (i.e. the film), and others are there just to take advantage of the moment. This happens even in the OWS protests, where anarchists are happy to blend in with the young, stupid and lazy, and create their own chaos for their own reasons.
ADDED: Just read an interesting op-ed in the Israel National News, citing Danish psychologist, Nicolai Sennels, studies on cultural differences in Muslim youths. The article is titled “Why Arabs are so Easily offended.” The Muslim culture sees anger and aggression as a sign of strength and honor while Western culture has been taught that even handed and calm approaches to adversity are a mark of strength and wisdom.
This really isn’t much of a surprise since even the most naive know it doesn’t take much of a poke at the Muslim hornet’s nest to get them swarming. But I think the bottom line is that it’s never going to change. This is a divide between cultures that will never be surmounted.
@MataHarley:
They can protest all they want. Attacking an embassy or consulate with RPGs with the intent to kill the ambassador is entirely different. If it were not about this film, it would be about something else.
@MataHarley: #23,
In your linked op-ed piece, Ron Jager writes,
It was evident to many of us at the time that pandering was not ever the right response, and now in hindsight, the result is proof that enough is enough.
This Administration has been so convinced of its self-righteousness, it has left its envoys unprotected. In its stupor, the MSM skates around the rink of punditry in silence.
Yes, JR. I also noticed that paragraph. But the phrase that stuck out for me was “Obama gave the Muslim world the false impression that he could control media content in America — like dictators control the media in the Arab-Islamic countries.” Obama knew this wasn’t possible in our nation, but I suspect the brilliant one isn’t so brilliant, and had no clue how such a statement would be interpreted by the Muslim world.
For a guy that talks about how much he knows Islam, he sure is dense.
@James Raider:
When you continually apologize to the guy who is trying to beat your skull in for insulting him and forcing him to try to beat your skull in, what do you expect? For him to quit beating you?
Bullies only respect one thing; the strength of a bigger bully.
@MataHarley: #28,
I understand your point on the guy who told John Boehner he had confidence in his own ability to “sway” the American public. There is also little doubt amongst any who objectively listened to that Cairo speech that there was a gross misreading, and misunderstanding, of the Middle East by whoever wrote it.
Much of that diatribe was objectionable, however, what I had found striking about the ‘bolded’ portion of the statement above was that even if Obama and his writer were clueless about the Middle East, this President had been touted as an expert on the Nation’s most important document, its Constitution. He had also just ‘sworn’ to uphold and defend it. That statement of his suggested he either didn’t read the Constitution, didn’t understand it, or didn’t want to defend it, . . . . or all of the above.
JR, the only expertise this POTUS possesses is perpetrating snowjobs on the gullible.
On the flip side, it was nice to see Boston’s Northeastern U administrators, kick out their Muslim chaplain for inciting violence.
@MataHarley: #30,
. . . . well, almost, . . . they turfed his butt, only after his subversive demagoguery became news. He had not been appropriately vetted, and it appears that his lectures have always been the same. Nothing new.
It’s long been evident that the Progressive perception, predominant in Massachusetts, finds comfort in uninquisitive, lazy, and nescient mindsets.
