In what may be the longest football metaphor ever spoken by a presidential candidate in American politics, President Obama on Monday portrayed Mitt Romney as a “losing coach” whose game plan should be “punted away.”
At a Labor Day event sponsored by the United Auto Workers Union, Mr. Obama seized on a comment Romney made in Ohio after the Republican Convention that “he’s gonna be the coach that leads America to a winning season.”
Actually, Mr. Obama left out the part of Romney’s football analogy that targeted him. It was a swipe at the number of unemployed and underemployed on Mr. Obama’s watch.
“If you have a coach that is zero and 23 million, you say it’s time to get a new coach,” said Romney last Saturday at a rally in Cincinnati.
Nevertheless, Mr. Obama downplayed Romney’s chances of delivering a winning season for the economy, saying, “Everybody’s already seen his economic playbook.”
And then, as if he were the play-by-play man on the presidential gridiron, Mr. Obama began his call of Romney’s game:
“On first down – he hikes taxes…by nearly $2,000 on the average family with kids in order to pay for a massive tax cut for multi-millionaires.”
“Sounds like unnecessary roughness to me,” said the president to cheers from his audience of union members.
“On second down: he calls an audible and undoes reforms that are there to prevent another financial crisis and bank bailout. He wants to get rid of rules that are there to protect our air and water and workers’ rights and protections that are there to make sure health care is there for you when you get sick.”
On second thought, keep him…the more crap he spews like this the better.

In my experience, one who attempts to change up ones position by slinging crap… needs to use a new type of crap.

For those of you who still haven’t seen Obama’s chief speech writer Jon Favreau, here he is in all his drunken, slobbery glory.
According to Wikipedia, and news outlets, Jon is still Assistant to the President and Director of Speechwriting.
He gets, at minimum, $172,200 a year for this repetitive tripe.
If Obama is too stupid to notice as he reads, Jon favors the fallacy of the straw man, the fallacy of the band wagon and out & out lying.
Ehhhhhhh…………so what else is new?

The deomocrats must figure that if it got Obama elected the first time, it will get him elected the second time. I feel sorry for the writer. Imagine YOU being the one who has to write something POSITIVE about Obam, especially how he has HELPED the USA.
What the drive by media won’t comment on is that Obama can only talk about Romney and won’t talk about any of his accomplishments. Why isn’t Obama talking about Tarp or the Stimulus or his healthcare? They all passed. Why Obama? Why not talk about what YOU have done while president instead of speculating about what you think might happen if your opponent wins?
We know why. Because Obama is a failure. Obama is no longer the underdog candidate like in 2008. Obama has a record and his record is one mired with failure.

Drinking is NOT the same as slobbering drunkedness.
I happen to think getting sloppy drunk is a sign of weakness, though I respect your right to do it, as long as no one gets hurt when you do so.
However, in Jon’s case, I think he has something on Obama.
Otherwise Obama would have dumped him by now.
Jon is a lousy speechwriter.

Stuff likes this made me come to the conclusion that the speeches aren’t read ahead of time. Obama doesn’t even read his speeches ahead of time. Remember him reading someone else’s speech all the way through and didn’t know it until someone told him?
Obama is scared.
He just backed out of using the arena he could not fill.

The democrats DID fill the stadium. Unfortunatelly, they filled it with the stuff farmers spread on their land to furtilize it. Maybe even they couldn’t stand the stench of what they are spreading, and had to move. I hope the other stadium is downwind from the original. I feel sorry for the cleanup crews of both stadiums.
