A frenzy is building over the death of Trayvon Martin and Barack Obama is helping to fuel it. Initially Obama avoided the issue, saying it was a “local matter” but apparently later came to believe that he could score some political points by publicly opining.
The race hustlers also see an opportunity as well. They want the blood of George Zimmerman and they want it now.
“Our disparities are great. Targeting, arresting, convicting blacks and ultimately killing us is big business.”

NEW YORK — Activists are planning “a wave of civil disobedience” to protest the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Fla., the Rev. Al Sharpton said Saturday.
The civil rights leader told supporters at his New York City headquarters that organizers would hold a series of nonviolent protests calling for the arrest of George Zimmerman, the crime watch volunteer who confronted the unarmed black teenager because he thought he looked “suspicious,” and then shot him.
“It is important that we have sustained indignation,” Sharpton said. “This is not where we are going to show that we are angry and go back home.”
Sharpton called it a “paradox” that the country could elect a black man president, but still view young black men with suspicion simply because they don a hooded sweat shirt, like the one Martin was wearing when he was killed.
The New Black Panther Party has issued a “Wanted Dead or Alive” poster for Zimmerman.
Additionally, the Black Panther Party has placed a $10,000 bounty on Zimmerman:
SANFORD — Members of the New Black Panther Party are offering a $10,000 reward for the “capture” of George Zimmerman, the Neighborhood Watch volunteer who shot Trayvon Martin.
New Black Panther leader Mikhail Muhammad announced the reward during a protest in Sanford Saturday. And when asked whether he was inciting violence, Muhammad replied defiantly: “An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.”
The bounty announcement came moments after members of the group called for the mobilization of 10,000 black men to capture Zimmerman, who shot Trayvon in a gated Sanford community on Feb. 26.
Muhammad said members of his group would search for Zimmerman themselves in Maitland — where the 28-year old worked before the shooting, employees there told the Orlando Sentinel. He declined to say when the group would begin their search.

Without a government-issued warrant, the organization opens itself up to civil or criminal liability, a lawyer said.
But they needn’t worry. Eric Holder does not prosecute Black Panthers.
The above and much of the media continue to describe Zimmerman as “white” when Zimmerman is Hispanic, according to Zimmerman’s father. Zimmerman’s family is said to be racially mixed and having black relatives.
Zimmerman is said to have been a mentor to black families:
Sonner also said that Zimmerman and his wife in the past have served as mentors to African-American youth. “He and his wife were mentors to a single mother with two, a 14-year-old son and a 13-year-old daughter. They were mentors to them, took them every couple weeks. What that program included was every other week, going for two or three hours going to the mall, to the science center, going to lunch, playing basketball, doing those types of things.”
And then there is the issue of evidence.
But one man’s testimony could be key for the police.
“The guy on the bottom who had a red sweater on was yelling to me: ‘help, help…and I told him to stop and I was calling 911,” he said.
Trayvon Martin was in a hoodie; Zimmerman was in red.
The witness only wanted to be identified as “John,” and didn’t not want to be shown on camera.
His statements to police were instrumental, because police backed up Zimmerman’s claims, saying those screams on the 911 call are those of Zimmerman.
“When I got upstairs and looked down, the guy who was on top beating up the other guy, was the one laying in the grass, and I believe he was dead at that point,” John said.
Zimmerman says the shooting was self defense. According to information released on the Sanford city website, Zimmerman said he was going back to his SUV when he was attacked by the teen.
Sanford police say Zimmerman was bloody in his face and head, and the back of his shirt was wet and had grass stains, indicating a struggle took place before the shooting.

Zimmerman told police he acted in self-defense. Police found blood on his face and the back of his head as well as grass on the back of his shirt.
That jibes with what Cheryl Brown’s teenage son witnessed while walking his dog that night. Thirteen-year-old Austin stepped out his front door and heard people fighting, he told the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday.
“I heard screaming and crying for help,” he said. “I heard, ‘Help me.’ ”
It was dark, and the boy did not see how the fight started, in fact, he only saw one person, a man in a red shirt — Zimmerman — who was on the ground.
The boy said he is not sure who called for help. After a moment, his dog escaped, and he turned to catch it and a few seconds later heard a gunshot, he said.
“When I heard the shot, the screaming stopped,” he said.
He then rushed inside and told his sister to call police.
Another so-called “witness” apparently misrepresented herself initially:
Sanford police on Thursday also challenged a WFTV-Channel 9 report, in which Mary Cutcher said police largely ignored her even though she told them, “I know this was not self-defense. There was no punching, no hitting going on at the time, no wrestling.”
Police said they twice tried to interview her without success, and the third time, she wrote a very short sworn statement for her roommate that was consistent with Zimmerman’s account.
Based on the eyewitness accounts and Zimmerman’s injuries one could believe that Zimmerman pulled the gun as a last resort. Or maybe there was a struggle for the gun:
The death weapon was a Kel-Tec PF9 semiautomatic 9mm pistol. It has been reported that the gun was recovered with a full magazine and that only the chambered round had been fired. This is a condition we associate with something preventing the gun from cycling a fresh round from the magazine into the chamber after the shot was discharged. One thing that can cause that is another man’s hand wrapped around the pistol, retarding its slide mechanism. This would indicate, as could certain gunshot residue patterns or cuts in certain places if found on Trayvon Martin’s hand(s), that a struggle for a gun was taking place when the fatal shot was fired. This would clearly change the shape of the case. But – WE DON’T KNOW YET.
This event does require investigation, but given the fever that grips many right now what happens if Zimmerman is vindicated? Is it too much to ask for the facts to come to light before people are condemned? There is no end to the irony of race hustlers looking to lynch a man before his guilt is established.
