Patience everyone, gonna be some bugs as we get this done over the next few hours.
UPDATE
Back to the old theme for awhile. Worked on it much of the night and still too many bugs to feel comfortable releasing it as is. Will be working on it some more in a bit. It will be up by today sometime for sure.

See author page
What you’re seeing right now is the default theme from WordPress, not the new site.
LOL, Curt…. I’ll bet it had many wondering if they should ask for a refund, eh?
Switching over such a huge database of posts and comments as FA has just doesn’t happen instantly. And as everyone who has ever beta tested anything knows, the world of “new” in software and cyberspace is always fraught with bugs. Being as I’ve been one of those privvy to the new design behind the scenes, just let me assure everyone it’s a design and site navigation worth the wait.
CURT, YOU NEED SOME SLEEP TO, AND SPECIALY WORKING ON THOSE BUGS ,
while celebrating the NEW YEAR, WITH MORE OF THE CHAMPAGNE THAT DID NOT GET THE USUAL EFFECT IN YOUR BODY BECAUSE OF THOSE BUGS,
BEST TO YOU FOR AFTER WE GET THE NEW FA, BYE THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO,
BUT STOP THE CHAMPAGNE
I agree with Beezy, Curt…. rest! You will get it here and we will all be happy! You spoil us enough anyway, we can wait and wonder and then appreciate how hard you worked.
While waiting, my address and phone book finally got updated after over three years, huge undertaking, gathered all the little pieces of paper and got the info written down in each of our three address books.
If not for you, it would have never ever, ever got done. 😉
CURT, hi, maybe I can help get rid of the bugs,I can flatten a bug faster and rarely miss,
they have no chance with me around, bye
Curt,
Either fix the bugs first, then party, or party first, then recover, then fix bugs and not worry about how long it takes.
Many years ago, not long after the computer was invented, the Navy had the world’s fasted computer. It was the size of a good sized room of a house, had all kinds of wires and tubes, and could only add, subtract, multiply, and divide, but it could do them faster than any other computer.
They would routinely run a test program through the computer to make sure it was working correctly. One time the computer came up with the wrong answer. The computer was checked out and a moth had gotten in it and shorted itself across two wires and was still there shorting the two wires. The moth was taken out and the computer worked OK. After that they checked the computer on a regular schedule.
Some time later a problem had been given to the computer department to solve and a person called them to ask what was taking so long. The assistant who took the call told them, “We are debugging the computer.” That is how the term came about. They actually had to take REAL bugs out of the computer.
Smorg….the designer/coder has been working on the new layout behind the scenes all day. He found a plugin which allows only a few people to see the new layout while everyone else see’s the current one that way the site isn’t interrupted. Boy did I underestimate it only taking a few hours….but I think everyone is gonna dig the new site so it will be worth the wait.
@Curt: #7
I’m a retired truck driver. I am used to waiting far after the appointed time. I suggest for any other planned changes that a date not be mentioned.
CURT, I will check all night to capture the first glimpse of the new site, bye
