Barack Obama ordered 1200 National Guard troops to the Mexican “In a move to quell growing public anger and mounting fear over illegal immigration.”
But sending those troops has nothing to do with illegal immigration.
US National Guard troops being sent to the Mexican border will be used to stem the flow of guns and drugs across the frontier and not to enforce US immigration laws, the State Department said Wednesday.
Mexican President Calderon demanded that these troops not be used to restrict illegal immigration:
Additionally, the Government of Mexico expects that National Guard personnel will strengthen US operations in the fight against transnational organized crime that operates on both sides of our common border and that it will not, in accordance to its legal obligations, conduct activities directly linked to the enforcement of immigration laws.
So what is the ostensible purpose of sending the Guard?
State Department spokesman Philip Crowley told reporters, “It’s not about immigration.”
He said the move was “fully consistent with our efforts to do our part to stem, you know, violence, to interdict the flow of dangerous people and dangerous goods — drugs, guns, people.”
“Interdict the flow of dangerous people and dangerous goods….”
There’s something else- the Guard won’t be armed. Obama is sending the National Guard without weapons to “interdict the flow of dangerous people and dangerous goods.”
Does Obama think that the “dangerous people” who bring guns and drugs into the US are not armed? Is Obama that much of an idiot or is something else going on? No sensible unarmed person is going to attempt to interdict others who are well armed. That would be suicide. So either Obama is sending the Guard on a suicide mission or sending them knowing they’ll be able to do nothing. It is more likely that Obama is sending the Guard to aid illegals in getting across the border and stymie the efforts of Southern states to stop the flow of illegals into the country.
“There’s guys out here with no guns and they’re our troops. The Mexicans think we’re nuts,” says the resident.
Ironcially, as Obama does everything he can to cripple states’ efforts to control illegal immigration, a terror watch was declared for the Texas-Mexico border.
The Department of Homeland Security is alerting Texas authorities to be on the lookout for a suspected member of the Somalia-based Al Shabaab terrorist group who might be attempting to travel to the U.S. through Mexico, a security expert who has seen the memo tells FOXNews.com.
And after all that Obama bowing and groveling to those who hate the US and apologizing for the US over the last 16 months?
Terror attacks against the US are at an all time high.
