Fuel Taxes Must Rise, Harvard Researchers Say
By SINDYA N. BHANOO
To meet the Obama administration’s targets for cutting greenhouse gas emissions, some researchers say, Americans may have to experience a sobering reality: gas at $7 a gallon.

Dr Krauthammer also advocates high gas tax to discourage driving whereby reducing dependence and greenhouse gas emissions.
I don’t agree with Dr Krauthammer since I believe the Man-made Climate Change fraud is basically The Snobs way of killing off the masses to keep them out of their hoity-toity neighborhoods.
Perhaps Dr Krauthammer might be interested in learning many things from Dr Sowell, a man whose wisdom exceeds Dr Krauthammer’s lowly Washington DC Beltway-level degree by universal leaps and bounds.
Change!
The taxes will be spent on private jets, limosine motorcades, lavishly-lit nighttime parties at statehouses across the country, and other carbon-producing “Lifestyles of the Rich and Elected”.
In other words, the effect of a Dem plan, as ALWAYS, will result in the opposite effect than planned.
(See “war on poverty”, “war on drugs”, “safe and rare abortions”, “Federal Dept. of Education”, et too many al.)
These dems would light an outdoor nighttime party with upward-aiming afterburners, if they could. All while telling me to turn down my heat and use LED lighting.

Keep Pelosi out of the skies. That should air condition the country for centuries.
That last one is a beauty. Justification alone for zero government. “Federal..Education”. Great oxymoron. Didn’t that come from the boll weevil himself, Jimmy Carter?
Libertarianism is looking more and more like the right alternative to the mess.
From wiki:
“Created by the Department of Education Organization Act (Public Law 96-88), it was signed into law by President Jimmy Carter on October 17, 1979 and began operating on May 16, 1980.”
also
“President Ronald Reagan promised during the 1980 presidential election to eliminate the Department of Education as a cabinet post, but he was not able to do so with a Democratic House of Representatives. In the 1982 State of the Union Address, he pledged:
“The budget plan I submit to you on Feb. 8 will realize major savings by dismantling the Department of Education.”
So sad that he couldn’t.
Bill Bennett:
“Our schools should get five years to get back to where they were in 1963. If they’re still bad maybe we should declare educational bankruptcy, give the people their money and let them educate themselves and start their own schools.”
“Our nation is at risk…. If an unfriendly foreign power had attempted to impose on America the mediocre education performance that exists today, we might well have viewed it as an act of war”
The British Colonies of America were assaulted with high taxation of Sugar, Tea and Print. The Federal Government of the United States of America wishes to impose high taxations on Fuels, Health Insurance packages, Healthcare equipment, sugars, sodiums, and personal Income and private wealth.
A mixture of denial of representation within the British Parliament, forcing a Military officer to replace local Governors, attempts at seizure of personal firearms of Colonists, “Impressment” of colonists into British Military service, forcing Colonist private houses to house British Imperial forces/officers and rampant taxation built the foundation of war for 1776. Today; we are facing Congressmen of both major Political parties failing to or flat out refusing to represent their voter bases and even flat out demanding the voter base submit to the Senator’s or Congressman’s “opinions” (per example Barney Frank), many cities attempting to deny law bidding citizens gunownership rights, and high taxation on State and Federal levels for all income brackets. We have yet to deal with the Federal Government on a Nation wide scale attempting to strip various State Governors their powers (Stimulus Bill a differnt story), attempts by the Federal Government to intrude on private propperty owner’s rights all together, and Congress passing a Draft bill that is the modern equal of British Military, “Impressment.” Yet those things could easily be ratified and made into being to negatively impact American Citizen’s ways of life.
What will be the modern spark of revolt and how would it take form in this digital age? Taxation is only one kindling wood of the stack sitting too close to the barrel of kerosene bucket that is public unrest. What would be the modern age equal of Boston?
