Toldjah So:

“They said it would be transparent. Why isn’t it? At times, I find the caucus is a real disappointment. We aren’t transparent, not just to the public but at times to the members.” – Democrat Rep. Joe Sestak

Is this the ‘change’ you voted for in 2008?

Had enough of this change?

Someone should have told the quasi-Marxist in the White House that a life and career built on lies only works in complete authoritarian countries like Cuba and Russia. He wanted to make a “Great Leap Forward” into Socialism, too bad he didn’t realize that the Socialists and welfare freeloaders don’t really comprise a majority of the population. Poor pathetic Obama, a Socialist demagogue without a constituency; a serious problem for the advancement of the Socialist Revolution.

I could enjoy this much more if it were happening in South America!

Gee, Joe (May I call you Joe?)… I guess you’re finally starting to realize what a tool you are.

Joe is trying to take Specter’s seat. I wish him well, but really hope that Toomey beats both of them!

btw Pelooser is coming to my hometown of Lancaster PA to attend (take-over?) a tribute to Fast Eddie Rendell. Two losers in the same hotel – Love to see that hotel buried in 6 feet of snow! Tickets cost $100 per person, but if you wish to kiss the queen’s ring and -gasp- even TALK to her, it’ll cost $2500. Gee Nancy, you really aren’t worth it. I consider her a great example of air pollution and she should stay out of MY STATE – We have enough problems!

Rant over… temporarily!

See I look at this a little differently.

I think Joe Sestak is making this statement now because he has to create some distance between himself and the stinking fetid politician career-killer that is the health care deform plan. The internal polling done on Sestak’s district is probably lit up like a Christmas tree against ObambiCare.

For his own political viability, Sestak has got to start making critical noises about health care reform. He can’t go whole-hog and join the GOP, but he can criticize the process.

That’s why I think Sestak is making these statements now.

I agree with KingShamus:

He’s subtly going to jump ship and find a way to tail the GOP and leave the dems to sit and rot in that steaming pile known as Otramacare.

@Neil:

I agree with KingShamus also, he’s really on to that bunch.

But, Sestak can do all that without leaving “the dems to sit and rot.”

There’s a couple of reasons dems are rattled about transparency. Some may actually be embarassed by the way the process has taken place while understanding that the whole thing is in the democrats name only.

Some want to know who’s messing around with the public option, others want to know who’s messing with abortion, etc. IOW, who is doing what to their dog in the fight. They need transparency to know who they want to hound.

Sestak understands all this, knows the process will not go public so he can play games with his constituents as all dems will be doing who are up for election in the blue states. They’ve probably held House and Senate seminars to advise their candidates to do just that.
