In case you missed the coverage from your local papers or the MSM,  the state of Alaska celebrated its 50th Birthday.

Congratulations to the State of Alaska on this milestone!

December 3rd marked the 50 years of Alaska statehood. The Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin unveiled a commemorative license plate and welcomed Russian delegates in town to celebrate this event.

Looks like she does a hell of lot more than see Russia from her house…

Governor Sarah Palin meets with Mr. Sergey Kislyak, newly appointed Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the United States, on his first visit to Alaska. Ambassador Kislyak is part of a large group of foreign dignitaries on hand for weekend celebrations marking Alaska’s 50th anniversary of statehood.

Gov Palin will be tarred and feathered in the press for having only one P in Happy50 license plate.

R U Kidding?

SARAH CONTINUES TO LEAD IN SUCH A WAY THAT ALL CONSERATIVES SHOULD BE PROUD OF HER AND WILLING TO SUPPORT HER. GREAT JOB SARAH AND CONGRADULATIONS FOR THE MAN OF THE YEAR AWARD IN CANADA.. .

A great year to celebrate for Alaska! 50th birthday and a New Democratic Party Senator to represent them!!!

An ineffectual senator at best, RAP. No one cares about him/her.

Governor Sarah Palin will be there to lead Alaska into a more prosperous State before stepping into the White House to lead this nation back to good!!!!

Here’s to the 50th anniversary of Alaska and to the brilliant citizens of this state who voted for a competent leader and stateswoman as their Governor.

Happy 50th Alaska.

I liked Gov Palin as a candiate and it really ticked me off when people said she had no experiece for the VP job, but then they turn around and praise BO’s background. I hope she continues in politics. She was a breath of fresh air.

I was kidding, but just pointing out that would be how the media would cover it to try to keep her in their Dan Quayle storyline.

Skye,

I sure hope you and other republicans continue to bring her out as the republican parties best woman for any job. It will be that much easier for the democrats to defeat her.

I bet Todd won’t be happy with the anniversary;)

Democrats and their liberal feminist hacks fear Sarah because she represents real people, real women, real values. Democrats and yoursefl fear women like Sarah because they are unbeatable.

Gaffa,

The First Dude is more of man then most men, FA authors excluded. I don’t think he’d mind any anniversary with Sarah.

@Real American Patriot:

You just helped put Franken in office. Your better efforts would be to keep a close eye on this corrupt, tax evading maniac, not throwing stones at Palin.

@Skye

lol – more of a man? lol – in what way?! You got to be a REAL man to want to seperate Alaska away from the US? And a real GENIUS to think that would make military sense with such a tiny population?

@gaffa How is my favorite Global Warming swallower doing these days?

Yes, Todd Palin is more of a man than you ever were or hope to be. What was Bobby Byrd thinking when he joined the Klan? What real man joins the KLAN?? Oh, yes, a Democrat.

@Skye. I’m good – thanks for asking…you?

I’m not a US Democrat. so I couldn’t care less about Bobby Byrd.

I’m just amused with Palin celebrating 50 years of Alaskan Statehood. Now at least she supports that. I know Todd left the Alaskan Independence movement in 2002 after 7 years – but do you know if he still supports it. It would of been odd if McCain had won, had a heartattack and the First Man would have wanted to be a foreigner from his own country. How patriotric is that? Does he dislike his country that much?

Yes, when I looked at Palin, I saw a decent manager/administrator, religiosity aside.
I have no doubt she would make a much more capable president than Obama anytime. At least every sentence out of her mouth is not a lie, and she has some basic intelligence, while Obama has none.

No – she just wants to teach kids lies – creationism – religiosity not aside.

“Palin has not pushed for teaching creationism in Alaska’s schools. She has said that students should be allowed to “debate both sides” of the evolution question, but she also said creationism “doesn’t have to be part of the curriculum.”

Yep that’s a strong line isn’t it?! I said she ‘wants’ to not that she has enforced it. Even she isn’t that dumb to push her wacko thoughts on kids. Tell me does she believe the earth is less than 10,000 years old?

She’s free to believe in and speak of her faith, as are all the citizens in this country, both sides. There is nothing ‘wacko’ about allowing children to study and debate both sides, we did it when I was in public elementary school, grades 5 &6, nothing untoward happened to me or any of my classmates.

Some find comfort in their faith, some fear those of faith, you have nothing to fear, Sarah Palin is not going to force her religion on those who don’t believe. Anti-religion, Christian, Jewish, Islam, etc. attacks are offensive in polite society. Time will tell what part of society you wish to belong.

Gaffa, have you turned on your brain yet?

After promoting TE Lawrence as Britain’s greatest counter-insurgency expert????
Not realizing that Lawrence was an insurgent himself?????

Are you still riding tandem on Mr. Lawrence’s bike, but in front of him and bending too far forwards????
———————————

You fail to understand “freedom”, that means allowing people to see many sides to a matter, speak up, discuss freely and then make their choice as to what they believe in. I am an atheist but I defend the freedoms of people to choose freely to believe in supernatural deities if it helps them in life.

There are so many trustworthy and religious people around compared to the liars and cowards that pretend to promote and demand a secular viewpoint.

In business, I find that religious people try to cheat me less than those of a secular makeup. In the military, very often the religious ones are the responsible, caring and physically brave ones.

I have a very good impression of christians even though I think their beliefs are utterly incorrect. At least they have a certain measure of principles and morality.

If the americans’ Bush were not such a religious man he would not have been able to achieve what he has in Iraq.

On yer bike, mate!!!!

@Sigmundringeck

So does that freedom mean discussing both sides of a conflict such as the one in Gaza at the moment – within a classroom setting and organised by a teacher.
Does freedom mean the teacher keeps neutral on such matters?
Does freedom mean teachers discussing the merits of contraception and avoiding pre-martial sex to children and giving no preference themselves?
Does freedom mean teachers discussing the merits of homosexuality and hetrosexuality to children and again being neutral on the issue?

As for religion – do you really believe people have such a free choice? Are all religions promoted and discussed equally within schools – especially those schools set up by religions?
Funny how most people get their religion from their parents.

Well I guess a lot of people have put their trust in religious leaders in the past. Shame there so many cases where these religious people have touched up kids in their care and then the church covers it up. And what morality is it when you state ‘Thou Shalt Not Kill’ but then in the same book giving the go ahead for violence?

As for on your bike – why don’t you remove the saddle and spin – as in your lame retort you seem to have a fixation with buggery.
