I am so sad that President Bush will be leaving soon. I used to be happy when ever he would appear on the News bulletin. People say that he was not a good speaker. This is what I liked about him, I hate good speakers they are all manipulators. I prefer someone who looks sincere like Bush instead of good speakers who are fooling you like Obama.

The painting that I prefer is the one where Bush wears a pale blue shirt. This painting has captured his soul.

I agree Craig. The one in Philadelphia looks like a wax figure.

Once BHO takes office, dignity at the White House will likely decline.

The portraits are magnificent, BTW.

Thanks for posting the portraits Mike, the Bushes make a lovely couple. Laura Bush is a beautiful person, inside and out, her portrait is stunning, captures her spirit, love her expression.

Although the first portrait of the President in a suit looks more presidential, I also prefer the President’s second portrait, the second artist did do a better job with his face, more color. I painted and sketched for many years, was to be a life long hobby, oh well. My favorite part of faces was doing eyes, imho all three artists did an outstanding job in the eye department capturing the sincerity and spirit of the Bushes, little mischief too, the smiles are also very nice.

All three artists deserve their work to be part of history.

Agree so much with Missy. Laura Bush has a dignity and a beauty that shine. She has been a true role model of protocol and class, intelligence and an aura of contentment of soul in very strenuous times.

I love the picture of President Bush that shows a relaxed and real presentation. I just know he will be recorded in our history as one of our great presidents. And that because he followed his conscience rather than the whimsy of public opinion.
