Democrat Staffer Arrested For Child Porn, Media Quiet

Lets hope blogs like this, or this, report on the arrest of a Democrat staffer for child pornography with as much zeal as they did when a Republican does it:

A high-level aide and advisor to a veteran California senator has been charged with two felonies for receiving and distributing child pornography from his personal laptop computer.

The congressional aide (Jeff Rosato) was a key member of Senator Barbara Boxer’s staff and a top advisor on the Environmental and Public Works Committee that she chairs. Boxer, a Democrat, was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1992 after serving a decade in the U.S. House.

Rosato, 32, began working for Boxer in 2005 as a legislative assistant and last year became a senior policy advisor for the Senate environmental committee. A federal affidavit says Rosato exchanged hundreds of pornographic images and movies of children with an undercover detective posing as a 13-year-old boy.

Federal authorities say Rosato’s personal laptop, found in the bedroom of his Virginia apartment, had about 200 child porn images and videos. He has been charged with one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of distribution of child pornography.

But I doubt it.

Even more disturbing is the fact the guy was arrested last Friday and the MSM has barely even glanced at the story. Newsbusters reports the only MSM outfit to report on it was Fox:

From what I can tell via a LexisNexis search, only Fox News has reported this matter on television; I found no coverage by any of the broadcast networks, CNN, or MSNBC.

Think that would have been the case if the senator in question was a Republican?

As for print, it appears despite the AP’s coverage, of the major newspapers, only the Los Angeles Times and the Washington Post felt this story newsworthy, although neither gave it much space.

And just what is in the water at Barbara Boxers office?

Famed left-wing radio personality Bernie Ward of San Francisco, a former priest who had one of the loudest and most consistently anti-George W. Bush voices in the entire nation, was found guilty of possessing and distributing child pornography on Friday and will serve at least five years in prison.

~~~
From 1982 to 1985 he worked for then-Rep. Barbara Boxer as her chief legislative assistant.
But still, crickets from the MSM and the leftwing blogs.
Shocker!
Dem media rules if it’s a dem–hear no evil, see no evil, speak no….truth.
Do you think with the return of the “Fairness Doctrine” the MSM will have to report these stories of Defocrat depravity with as much enthusiasm as they would were it a Republican under the same circumstances?!
@Yiddish Steel: The “Fairness Doctrine” or the “Gag Rule” will only effect Talk Radio and will not effect TV or Newspapers. that is why it was called the “Flush Rush” bill before.
Yes, the hypocrisy of the MSM is showing thru more and more everyday. If this was a Republican they would have front page stories for a month.
Bernie Ward, Anti-Bush loon and kiddie porn lover…. I could have guessed it.
Did NAMBLA endorese Obama?
The media is silent because they are busy erasing the child porn off their computers.
Marie Cantwell (D-WA) too:
U.S. DISTRICT COURT
Ex-Senate Aide Gets 3 Years for Child Porn
A former Senate aide was sentenced yesterday to a three-year prison term on a federal charge of possession of child pornography.
James Michael McHaney, 28, of the District, was arrested Nov. 30 in a sting operation and fired from his job in the office of Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.). He pleaded guilty in February in U.S. District Court.
Prosecutors said McHaney exchanged pornographic images of children with an undercover police informant. He was arrested when he tried to meet an underage boy in a sting set up at the informant’s home, prosecutors said. When McHaney was arrested, he had a flash drive containing more than 1,000 images of child porn, authorities said.
Judge Thomas F. Hogan also ordered that McHaney serve 10 years of supervised release once he gets out of prison.
Greetings:
Maybe the Democrats should put a question on their employment applications about whether any of your family members own child pornography.
Meanwhile, back in California, Marin County voters elected one Mark Leno to the State Senate, a promotion of sorts, from the State Assembly. One of Mr. Leno’s gambits while in the Assembly was to introduce legislation to increase the amount of child pornography one could possess without incurring felony charges.
@starboardhelm: i can’t stand cantwell, she is an arrogant bitch who made all her money on her back.
as for why the media doesn’t report any of this is because most of the dems out there are really pretty ok with this shit. i am sure they see it as “educational”, or even “enlightening”. they have severve double standards and when called on it try throwing it back at the conservatives. wonder how many times these aides have taken the fall for their boss’? most likelly more than we know.
I’m not shocked, the mainstream media illuminati are always quiet on whatever has to do with the left-wing
This is a made up story. Where are the links to support it?
Gee Fax…In denial much?
I will go ahead and guess that when you learn that the little words in red-font within the post ARE links to the story, you’ll come up with something else to preserve your ass-up position in the sand.
Assume the position
Apologies, Pat, its got links.
I couldn’t find it ’cause i thought it was current news.
But what’s the gist on posting a story that’s more than half a year old?
@Fax
Don’t apologize to me, it’s Curt you implied was BSing you, and I have a feeling his response to you would be something along the lines of: “Pfft.”
It is relevant because it shows yet one more brick in the wall the Demo-led media has built around themselves. Look back and compare the media-coverage of crimes by demo’s, their staffers, and the those basking in the adulation of their fellow leftists to how those same sort of stories are covered if that person is NOT one of the “protected” class.
Do you think that if Rush Limbaugh or Tim Pawlenti (or a staffer of Pawlenti) was busted for raping a 13 year old girl, and then ran away for 20 years, that Whoopie Goldberg would claim that “it wasn’t really rape-rape” like she did for Roman Polanski?
Do you really think that if a Repub hadn’t paid his taxes by a million bucks, he would still be leader of the House Ways and Means Committee like Charles Rangle is? Compare his case against Ted Stevens of Alaska.
The months gone by have little to do with the story, nor the pattern that it fits, because this sort of thing has been going on since Walter Duranty started the New York Times, and was covering-up for the crimes against humanity that Stalin was embarked upon. It is the same media that destroyed Goldwater in the 60’s with boldfaced lies, but covered-up for JFK’s drug and women abuse, and LBJ’s overt racism.
@fax:
But what’s the gist on posting a story that’s more than half a year old?
Ummm…you were the first person to post on it since Nov 18, 2008.
What was your point again?
WE MUST HONOR THE POLICE FORCE;they are doing such a good job to protect the children from pornografy;that is endangering their mind in the technology,they are using at such a young age now: 🙄
@Top Penis Enlargement:
Is this another Victor sock-puppet? 🙄
