The Audacity Of Obama

The man keeps stepping into it:

Dem presidential contender Barack Obama’s handlers may be telling the press Obama has NO “recollection” of a 2004 party at influence peddler Tony Rezko’s Wilmette house, but a top Sneed source claims Obama not only gave Rezko’s guest of honor, Iraqi billionaire Nadhmi Auchi, a big welcome . . . but he made a few toasts!

Who is Auchi? He is an associate of Saddam’s who gave Rezko some big bucks and soon after receiving those big bucks Rezko helped Obama purchase a new home by buying the empty lot next to it at the same time. Auchi was convicted of fraud in France and was banned from entering the US in 2005. Rezko is on trial for extortion, money laundering and fraud.

And this man is a “change” from politics as usual huh?

Then we get this bit of audacity from Obama on his support of…..wait for it…..Israel! Yeah, you heard me right. The man now claims to be Isreal’s biggest supporter:

“Let’s be clear, there has been a really systematic effort to suggest that I’m not sufficiently pro-Israel,” he said. “The fact that my middle name is Hussein, I’m sure, does not help in that regard … Again some of this dates back to the ’60s between the African-American and the Jewish community as a consequence of [Louis] Farrakhan. There was flap about some of Jesse Jackson’s statements during his presidential race, so I inherit all this baggage.”

While repeating an earlier statement that he disagreed with former President Jimmy Carter’s decision to meet with representatives of the Palestinian group Hamas during his current trip to the Middle East, Mr. Obama said, “The fact is, though, that no one’s been a more stalwart ally of Israel…. My support of Israel is as strong as Sen. Clinton or [Sen. John] McCain. Groups like AIPAC [the American Israel Political Action Committee] would confirm that.”

Allah has a point:

Perhaps Barack Obama can offer a look at the many votes he has cast on behalf of Israel or the speeches he gave in support of their right to exist and to defend themselves against terrorists determined to annihilate them. No?

Allah also points out the many instrumental campaign workers on Obama’s staff who are also on a panel of the J-Street Project. A group formed to fight AIPAC and ensure that Israel makes even more concessions to the Palestinians.

The J-Street board of advisers includes a number of lay and professional leaders of Americans for Peace Now (APN), including CEO Debra DeLee, as well as Marcia Freedman, founder and former president of Brit Tzedek v’Shalom.

Several activists with ties to Democratic presidential contender Sen. Barack Obama are on the panel, as well. They include Robert Malley, whose involvement in Obama’s broad foreign policy advisory team has generated criticism from Republicans and some pro-Israel groups, and Alan Solomont, a top Obama fundraiser and major player in Democratic politics.

And whats with this race baiting once again? People claim he is anti-Israel only because of his race and the history between the blacks and jews? It wouldn’t be because of his record, votes, statements or those he associates with….its because of his race.

This guy offers NO change from politics as usual. In fact it seems he may represent some of the worst Chicago has to offer.
