– are acting like the fringe groups who think the 1969 moon landing never really happened, or who once believed the world is flat.

What complete and utter idiocy. What happened to the coming Ice Age…were the skeptics then the same as moon landing deniers? Or did they all just walk lock, stock, and barrel with the other doomsday seers? The fact of the matter there are tons of skeptics, many of them climate scientists, who are not convinced that man is warming the planet.

Sure Al Gore is pulling this chicken little routine to make bank…. what pisses me off is that McCain OUR candidate buys it…..

I think Gore and his crowd have it backwards. Despite the lack of any hard science based on observations, they pushed their Global Baloney based on flawed models of climate change (similar to the same models that can’t predict the weather accurately from one day to the next).

Gore and company are the modern day version of the Catholic Church in the 1600’s who decreed it was heresy for anyone to believe that the earth was not the center of the solar system.

Gailelo was persecuted for believing otherwise and it took nearly 200 years to set the record straight.

No doubt Pope Gore will still be flying around decades from now  to events in his private jet filling the atmosphere with CO2 so he can tell the envirozealots why the earth is cooling despite his earlier predictions that much of us would be underwater by now.

I’m sure he and his friends will still find some way to make a buck off gullible fools.

Is it just me, or is he just the most condescending sumbitch on the planet?

Flat Earthers for Gorbal Worming! So Speaks Gorelactus!

good find Fasternu!

F.Y.I. here’s John Stoessels excellent rebuttal to Pope Gore:

And why is Pope Gore afraid to debate Christopher Monckton?

http://scienceandpublicpolicy.org/why_won_t_al_gore_debate_.html

According to The Great Al-nack "the debate is over" about whether global warming is manmade.  The debate never even started, it was squashed by the Alarmists before it began.  Part of Gore’s proof is that "most people agree" that global warming is manmade.  Just because everyone thinks it’s so does not make it so – just ask Copernicus.

Mike – thanks for the Stoessel Interview link.  Here’s something that baffles me – many people dismiss the skeptic scientists as mouthpieces for big oil or big business interests.   What about the money flowing to the other side?  In the Stoessel interview, Gore states, "The illusion of a debate has been purchased with millions of dollars a year…"  So while these unfounded accusations circulate of corporations funneling Millions of dollars to skeptics, world governments (including the UN) and corporations that profit from green technology are funneling Billions of dollars to the alarmists.

mdenis:

Roy Spencer, former NASA scientist and avowed skeptic asks the same question:

http://www.weatherquestions.com/Roy-Spencer-on-global-warming.htm#bio

The dirty little secret is that environmental organizations and global warming pessimists receive far more money from Big Oil than do global warming optimists such as myself. While professional environmental lobbyists are totally dependent upon environmental crises for their continued existence, atmospheric researchers and meteorologists have day jobs which are not. Some outspoken global warming pessimists have received large cash awards (hundreds of thousands of dollars) for the positions they have taken; there are no such monetary awards for global warming optimists. Instead, we have to endure scorn from several outspoken peers in the scientific community, some of whom are successful at thwarting our publication of scientific articles and government funding of our research proposals.

As long as the global warming pessimists can convince the public that we skeptics are simply shills for Big Oil, they do not have to address our scientific arguments. The claims that there are no peer-reviewed scientific articles that oppose a manmade source of global warming are, quite simply, wrong. Fortunately, the tide is slowly turning, and increasing numbers of scientists are now speaking out about their doubts concerning mankind’s role in recent global warmth.

Debate – What Debate? That ended a long time ago when Gore said so!
