A Step-Sister of The Shadow Party Involved In Voter Fraud

For the last few weeks I’ve been blogging a series called The Shadow Party in which I highlight the seven sister organizations that comprise The Shadow Party.  The third sister is a group called America Votes, an umbrella organization that pools the resources of 33+ different groups that perform registration drives and "get out the vote" type programs.  One of the groups under their umbrella is ACORN.

Looks like ACORN is in the news once more.  First, a trip down memory lane:

Operating in at least 38 states (as well as Canada and Mexico), Acorn pushes a highly partisan agenda, and its organizers are best understood as shock troops for the AFL-CIO and even the Democratic Party.

Acorn and its affiliates have pulled some real stunts in recent years. In Ohio in 2004, a worker for one affiliate was given crack cocaine in exchange for fraudulent registrations that included underage voters, dead voters and pillars of the community named Mary Poppins, Dick Tracy and Jive Turkey. During a Congressional hearing in Ohio in the aftermath of the 2004 election, officials from several counties in the state explained Acorn’s practice of dumping thousands of registration forms in their lap on the submission deadline, even though the forms had been collected months earlier.

“You have to wonder what’s the point of that, if not to overwhelm the system and get phony registrations on the voter rolls,” says Thor Hearne of the American Center for Voting Rights, who also testified at the hearing. “These were Democratic officials saying that they felt their election system in Ohio was under assault by these kinds of efforts to game the system.”

Given this history, it’s not surprising that Acorn is so hostile to voter identification laws and other efforts to ensure fairness and accuracy at the polls. In Missouri last month, the state Supreme Court held that a photo ID requirement to vote was overly burdensome and a violation of the state constitution. Acorn was behind the original suit challenging the statute, and it has brought similar challenges in several other states, including Ohio.

Now look at what they did recently:

King and Pierce County prosecutors filed felony charges today against seven people who allegedly committed the biggest voter-registration fraud in state history.

The defendants, who were paid employees and supervisors of ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, concocted the scheme as an easy way to get paid, not as an attempt to influence the outcome of elections, King County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Satterberg said.

“This was an act of vandalism upon the voter rolls of King County,” Satterberg said.

“Ladies and gentlemen, this is the worst case of voter-registration fraud in the history of the state of Washington. There has been nothing comparable to this,” state Secretary of State Sam Reed said at a news conference with Satterberg, King County Executive Ron Sims and Acting U.S. Attorney Jeff Sullivan.

The announcement of criminal charges came after the King County Canvassing Board revoked 1,762 allegedly fraudulent voter registrations submitted by ACORN employees.

Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Stephen Hobbs told the board that six ACORN workers had admitted filling out registration forms with names they found in phone books last October. The canvassers filled out the forms while sitting around a table at the downtown Seattle Public Library, Hobbs said.”

Of course the groups leaders are trying to wash their hands of the whole thing by blaming it on a few low level workers but with their scandalous history I have no doubt that this is their norm.  The systematic corruption of our countries voting process is their goal.  Anything to get the liberals into power.

just an FYI; the group accused of trading crack for voter registration cards, wasn’t acorn, it was the naacp.

That’s why its stated it was an affiliate of ACORN. See here for a list of all of their affiliates.

ACORN was the one getting ripped of in this whole voter-fraud non sense. ACORN was paying people to register voters, and those people chose not to do their jobs and to fake cards instead. And fyi, there is no chance of a faked voter registration actually impacting the results of an election because fake people don’t often show up to the polls.
