To my comrades who payed the ultimate price, know you are always in my thoughts and prayers, rest until our maker comes. The lord will in mercy judge.

Rest well brave ones, thank you for your service. God bless the families as they remember and we remember their sacrifice.

Remember all those who have fallen, not only on Memorial Day but everyday. Without them, we wouldn’t have what we are able to enjoy and practice the freedoms we are blessed with. Always give thanks for the fine men and women that have stepped forward to serve our country.

Wow, you put together quite a tribute post, Mike. Kudos.

God bless all those who risk all on behalf of our great nation; and God bless those who have given all, to make us great. Without their sacrifices, we would have perished, long ago.

Thanks Deputy Word.

I see you’ve been busy yourself. Are you going to post your excellent video?

Loved this post so much I’ve made sure it stays up top….great job Mike.

Aw shucks! Thanks. I really just dashed off a few thoughts this morning. Though I do really think the photo of the Boy Scout could carry the post all on it’s own:

That’s really what Memorial Day is all about: One generation honoring the previous with their own service and patriotism. As long as this Nation continues to inspire such fine men and women we will never fail.

I see you’ve been busy yourself. Are you going to post your excellent video?

I was thinking I’d do it as we got closer to Monday. Not sure whether to leave it standing as is or not. I’ve already crammed too many photos in it, and I keep finding more that I like. But I’m really not happy with the editing. Especially the ending.

I really just dashed off a few thoughts this morning.

Oh..is that all? You crammed about 3 posts worth of material, there.

I think your video is more than ready for prime time. It stands pretty well on it’s own.

There’s another great tribute I would love to find in a You Tube type format:

It’s the Final Salute story from the Rocky Mountain News detailing the care and respect the Marines give to their fallen soldiers.

Thanks…doesn’t cover it. Excellent post.

In a Mother’s eyes says it all. I talked to the Mothers of my friends after I came back, trying to tell them of their Son’s and of my friendship with them. I made it back, their Sons didn’t. The terrible injustice of that fact was hard for me and for them but we tried to confort each other anyway.

God Bless them one and all and keep them.

Papa Ray: It is we who thank you and God Bless you and all who have served.

Thank you and Bless you also for trying to help the families of our fallen soldiers; especially the Mothers find peace in their hearts after such a sacrifice.

Your story evokes the true meaning of Memorial Day.

Thank you for sharing it.

Thanks for the post 🙂

Remember those who didn’t come back home…

God bless
