Complete stoppage of all EU companies working on Iran’s domestic energy production and distribution infrastructure.
Step #2:
Impose a surcharge on all refined oil products sold to Iran to be paid to the families of the kidnapped service members. All such refined petroleum products must be sold through an office appointed and overseen by the UK. Any refined petroleum products headed to Iran not authorized by that office are subject to intercept and confiscation.

Talk, talk and more talk seems to be the only option many on the left and center have to suggest. But that won’t work. What do you say to Iran? “You’ve been killing Americans for decades, please stop it?”
I realize that the lives of Americans trying to keep peace in Lebanon and those in Saudi Arabia don’t mean much to folks like you, but they ARE Americans and IRAN is to blame.
Unless you can come up with some constructive, positive contribution to the dialogue here, you’ll find yourself ignored in future.
I heard a member of the British parliament on Hugh Huwitt today and it scared the hell out of me He actually said that there are two models on how to deal with this 1) the way Olmert dealt with the taking of his soldiers hostage in Lebenon or 2) the way Jimmy Gritz Carter dealt with Irans taking of our embassy… and he was praising Gritz! god please don’t let that be the brits reaction….
oh and Mike bombing Iran’s weapons facilities, oil fields and refinery is the inevitable step that must be taken we have been waiting for the imaginary overthrow from within since the mad little Persian that’s now the president was leading our hostages around in blindfolds… it just ain’t gonna happen…
PS the surgery on my hand has kept me off the computer
Actually Crosspatch’s suggestions make a ton of sense. Do I think a military response is wise at this point? No. But it definitely should NOT be taken off the table, and if it appears imminent that they are about to get a bomb every stop should be pulled to make sure that does not happen. We cannot let a nuclear armed Iran exist. Imagine the consequences….
Crosspatch: At some point, even the EU must get fed up with being lied to and played like a fiddle by Iran. Would they go along with your suggestion? Not sure. We know from experience that if there’s a dollar to be made, the French will be there regardless of sanctions.
City Troll: Sadly, the Olmert& Gritz model seems to be the course we’ve followed with Iran. And it hasn’t worked.
We certainly cannot tie our hands waiting for a democracy movement to take hold and allow Iran to have a nuke.
If we had the political will in this country to act, we might have already done so. But the Dems have neutered the United States and we’re paying a price for that every day by inaction.
City Troll: What do you want to bet that if a Dem is elected in 2008 you’ll notice that all of a sudden the military option is not only back on the table but the first card in the pack.
And the lamestream media won’t say “BOO” about it.

The number of Americans killed by Iran please.
And use as many decades as you need.
Thank you.
“Arthur:” Considering that you are on probation, I would think it might behoove you to be a more careful reader.
The post above contains the following link to the number of deaths of Americans caused by Iran’s proxy Hezbollah:

It wouldn’t be possible for the Dems to be playing these games with our security if the MSM did there jobs and reported facts instead of spin
