Last week George Soros decided to put his bet on Barack Obama:
George Soros, the billionaire New York philanthropist, has made maximum donations in the past to both candidates, for instance, and last week he faced a choice: support Mr. Obama, who created his committee on Tuesday, or stay neutral and see what Mrs. Clinton and others had to say. In this case, Mr. Obama won.
Mr. Soros sent the maximum contribution, $2,100, to Mr. Obama, the first-term senator from Illinois, just hours after he declared his plans to run.
"Soros believes that Senator Obama brings a new energy to the political system and has the potential to be a transformational leader," said Michael Vachon, a spokesman for Mr. Soros.
And then opened his mouth at Davos:
After asserting that the United States is recognizing the error it made in Iraq, Soros said, "To what extent it recognizes the mistake will determine its future." He went on to say that Turkey and Japan are still hurt by a reluctance to admit to dark parts of their history, and contrasted that reluctance to Germany’s rejection of its Nazi-era past. "America needs to follow the policies it has introduced in Germany," Soros said. "We have to go through a certain de-Nazification process."
So, this Democrat thinks that Republicans should be hunted down, tried and put away after which the Republican party should be banned and forever forgotten.
I love this. This epitomizes the liberals belief system to the nth degree. The sad thing is this is by no means a rare occurrence from the left, on the contrary. Take a look at Ted Rall’s recent post in which he wishes to ban the Republican party:

It’s not as wild as you might thing. Political parties are banned all over the earth. For instance, the Communist Party is banned in Russia and the Nazi Party is prohibited in Germany. The Republican Party hasn’t murdered in the tens of millions, but why wait? The current band of GOP criminals, just getting started, has already killed over 600,000 Iraqis. While they’re currently on the wane, they’re a malevolent influence who will surely return to make America a worse place sooner rather than later.
Or Chris Hedges, a senior fellow at The Nation Institute, recent call to restrict the free speech of the religious right:
This is the awful paradox of tolerance. There arise moments when those who would destroy the tolerance that makes an open society possible should no longer be tolerated. They must be held accountable by institutions that maintain the free exchange of ideas and liberty.
The radical Christian Right must be forced to include other points of view to counter their hate talk in their own broadcasts, watched by tens of millions of Americans. They must be denied the right to demonize whole segments of American society, saying they are manipulated by Satan and worthy only of conversion or eradication. They must be made to treat their opponents with respect and acknowledge the right of a fair hearing even as they exercise their own freedom to disagree with their opponents.
On and on we have examples of the real Fascists in this country. The liberal left. And now we have George Soros as the latest example, and he just so happens to back Barack Obama. You think Barack will disavow George?
Kinda doubting it.
