Looks like good ole’ crazy Cindy Sheehan is getting served: (via Mike’s America who got it from the Smoking Gun)
AUGUST 15–The next well-wisher approaching Cindy Sheehan at her tent encampment outside President George W. Bush’s Texas vacation home may actually be a process server. That’s because the California woman’s husband–in a curious bit of timing–filed for divorce Friday afternoon. With Sheehan, 48, entering a second week outside Bush’s Crawford retreat, her husband’s divorce petition cites ‘irreconcilable differences’ for the demise of the couple’s 28-year marriage (the Sheehans, the document states, have been separated since June 1).
Michelle Malkin has posted about this impending divorce and gotten plenty of loving from the left:
In response, this blogger spewed profanities left and right. This one declared:
Open war on the self-hating racist bitch Michelle Malkin. OPEN. WAR.
She responds:
The rabid dogs play the hypocrisy card by raising my objection to John Kerry’s reference to Mary Cheney’s lesbianism and my criticism of the NYTimes’ dumpster diving into the adoption records of SCOTUS nominee John Roberts. Unlike Cindy Sheehan, Dick Cheney and John Roberts did not cite their family members’ political or ideological positions to support their campaigns. Mrs. Sheehan herself–not any Karl Rove operative or right-wing smear merchant– put claims of family solidarity on the public record.
She hit the nail on the head, Cindy Sheehan has brought this whole thing on herself. Her family has asked her to stop pushing her son as a political movement but she continues on and on while the lunatic left hold her up as their messiah. What a disgrace she is to her son’s memory and his family.
Angry In The Great White North has done some digging and come up with another lie from Crazy Cindy:
From her diary at Daily Kos:
I apparently am the sacrificial lamb of the peace movement. I don’t care about myself. Putting myself in the forefront and daring to challenge the president on his lies left myself open to the attacks. Which are, of course, half truths and distortions.
We’ll see.
When they start sliming my home life and my family, that’s where I draw the line. Yes, my husband has filed for divorce and yes he filed before I left for the VFP Convention and this trip to Crawford and yes IT IS BETWEEN MY HUSBAND AND I.
Cindy Sheehan addressed the VFP convention on August 5, then went to start her Crawford vigil on August 6. Patrick and Cindy listed June 1 as the date of their separation, and Patrick filed a petition for divorce on August 12, according to papers available at The Smoking Gun.
She would have left for the convention on or before August 5, at least twelve days before the papers were filed. So Patrick did not file for divorce before she left for the VFP Convention.
Yet another lie. Patrick petitioned for divorce after Cindy took off. Sounds less and less like a mutual decision. She should expect a visit from a court server with papers soon.
Check out his earlier post here.
Add that lie to her recent anti-semitic remarks telling the world that America and Isreal are the root of all terrorism:
You get America out of Iraq and Israel out of Palestine and you’ll stop the terrorism,” she said.
and
“And the other thing I want him to tell me is ‘just what was the noble cause Casey died for?’ Was it freedom and democracy? Bullsh–! He died for oil. He died to make your friends richer. He died to expand American imperialism in the Middle East.
And you get someone who is obviously getting her talking points from DummiesU. What a loon.
As Casey’s family has said:
She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the expense of her son’s good name and reputation.
That’s about the extent of it.
She is actually a godsend for the right. Put her and Dean together and wow, will the Dem’s ever win again?
AJStrata puts it well:
Cindy Sheehan is doing a bang up job of simply ruining the democrat?s chances in 2006 and 2008. First, she is alienating all those military families who take pride in the military and its mission. The biased summer polls reflect universal frustration with Bush on Iraq – not a desire to see Iraq a failure. Most people want it to succeed.
…The only question left is which image do they want to be remembered by when they crash and burn: Cindy?s anti-semitic, surrender-now-before-we-win, impeach-Bush legacy or, as the last sane people to stick with a dying party (and have some hope of leading the re-birth of that party).
The dems have fostered the lunacy of the liberal fringe for years. And that short sighted strategy is coming back to haunt them now that these people represent 2/3rds of the democrat party. They can?t win with ?em, that can?t win without ?em. What a conundrum.
I will end with an old, time proven saying of mine: If you want to beat democrats in elections, just let them talk (especially the liberals!).
Another interesting tidbit from Aldaynet:
…now thanks to intrepid investigators we know that Cindy at one time posted pictures of her meeting with Bush on her tribute webpage to her son, these pictures have since been taken off the page, I wonder why? What?s funny is the title of the page is still ?Sheehans Meet President Bush?, and the source code still shows the images are part of the HTML, they?ve just been deleted off the server. It?s a lame attempt at covering up the fact that Cindy Sheehan has already met with President Bush, and the current circus is nothing but media whoring and a mother?s grief being exploited by the liberal left. pathetic.
I think me and Tom are on the same page here.
