Barack Obama has decided that he is the king of the United States and Republicans are in meek compliance. Obama unilaterally took us to war in Libya on a false premise. Libya was never an imminent threat. Obama invoked the War Powers Act in defense of his actions but now that the 60 days has passed Obama simply declared that he will simply not abide by the law. Barack Obama thinks he can seize upon Paul Ryan’s plan as a foil for his re-election.
Democrats still smarting from their 2010 mid-term defeat see Republican Rep. Paul Ryan’s controversial plan to overhaul Medicare as political aspirin, a cure for just about everything that ails them.
But for Barack Obama it’s more like Geritol — a targeted treatment for his chronic aches and pains with older voters.

Life not fair. Nor for that matter is it unfair. It simply is. It’s not fair or unfair that the lion feasts on the slowest zebra or that the penguin who leaps into the ocean at just the wrong moment becomes dinner for an Orca. Life is life… fair doesn’t come into play.
Fair is a fundamentally human concept that is defined by a lack of preference or favoritism and or injustice.
Despite its subjective nature, fairness is a word that the left loves to bring to what should be an objective realm, politics. Continue reading

Egyptian television people are beginning to say that the Muslim Brotherhood have taken over the Egyptian revolution, and the revolutionary youth have been replaced by bearded men with guns.
A group of Muslims attacked Ayman Anwar Mitri, a 45 year old Christian Coptic man in the Upper Egyptian town of Qena, cutting off his ear. The Muslims claimed they were applying Sharia law because Mr. Mitri allegedly had an illicit affair with a Muslim woman. Mr. Mitri, a low grade administrator at a secondary school, from elHasweya, in Qena, 492 KM from Cairo, had rented his flat to two Muslim sisters, Abeer and Sabrin Saif Al-Nasr, through an agent. After nine months he learned the sisters had been indicted for prostitution, so he asked them to leave and they did. Continue reading
