Nancy Pelosi: “He’s (Bush) saying something to the effect of we’re so glad to welcome you here, congratulations and I know you’ll probably have some different things to say about what is going on-which is correct. But, as he was saying this, he was fading and this other thing was happening to me. My chair was getting crowded in,” said Pelosi. “I swear this happened, never happened before, it never happened since. My chair was getting crowded in and I couldn’t figure out what it was, it was like this. And then I realized Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Lucretia Mott, Alice Paul, Sojourner Truth, you name it, they were all in that chair, they were. More than I named and I could hear them say: `At last we have a seat at the table.’ And then they were gone.”

Well, it has a fourth toughest gun law in the country, it sounds good doesn’t it? Ready 2011, nearly 4,000 guns were confiscated by New York City cops. Just in the city… 4,000 guns. Yes, those tough gun laws, they’re working great, aren’t they? …You’re a genius, Bill. PBS is very lucky to have you.”
Mark Steyn: “The definition of a ‘nano-second, is the time between a mass shooting and some guy from the left blaming it on talk radio, or Sarah Palin, or Fox News.’ “
President Obama: “If you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own…If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business – you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”
Joy Behar, on The View, discussing the Dream Act and making some illegal immigrants legal: “But what about the kids who were born here?”
Marco Rubio: “Well, the kids who are born here are U.S. citizens.” Maybe it is just me, but I laughed when I heard this.
Democrat Jan Schakowsky: “Republicans now have gone from this rooting against the economy to outright sabotage of the economy.”
MSNBC‘s Chris Hayes: “What are the things we should be doing if we waved a magic wand, made Paul Krugman dictator for a period of time?” The liberal crowd cheered.
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who recently banned larger than 16 oz. sodas in New York City: “if government’s purpose isn’t to improve the health and longevity of its citizens, I don’t know what its purpose is.” Classify this under, “I earned my nickname, Nanny Bloomberg.”
President Obama, Friday, early afternoon, when asked if he was blaming Europe for the failure of his own economic policies: “The truth of the matter is, as I’ve said, we’ve created 4.3 million jobs the last 27 months…The private sector is doing fine.”
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of Republicans who criticize President Obama‘s support for the failed solar firm Solyndra: “[Republicans are] the ones who say they’re risk takers. Now, all of a sudden, they’re saying, `Don’t take risks.’ ”
Obama Deputy Campaign Manager Stephanie Cutter defended President Obama‘s investment in green energy companies like Solyndra: “The president was making investments for the country, because he’s not going to cede an entire industry to China and India. And as a result the company – country is prospering.”
President Barack Obama: “The job of a president is to lay the foundation for strong and sustainable broad- based growth — not one where a small group of speculators are cashing in on short term gains.”
Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney: “There’s no question but that he’s attacking capitalism, in part, I think, because he doesn’t understand how the free economy works.”
