Say What? January 17, 2012 Edition [Reader Post]

First Lady Michelle Obama: “I guess it’s more interesting to imagine this conflicted situation here and a strong woman. But that’s been an image that people have tried to paint of me since the day Barack announced. That I’m some angry black woman.”

Oprah Winfrey on Barack Obama: “I think he is, uh, a masterful leader and I think that what it takes to be able to do that on a daily basis and to stand up in a world where everybody is open to attacking you all the time, very hard job…I’m proud of him.” Continue reading

Say What? December 12, 2011 edition [Reader Post]

First lady Michelle Obama to her husband: “You had BBQ?  You didn’t tell me you had BBQ.”

President Obama: “Too many children can no longer expect to join the middle class, the president said, no matter if they work hard and play by the rules.”  It is difficult to determine if these are his exact words.  They are attributed to him, but without quotes.  However, what this means is, what he has done so far for Americans has not worked. Continue reading

As the election looms, Obama clings ever more tightly to religion [Reader Post]

“And it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
- Barack Obama Continue reading

Say What? 10/1/2011 Edition [Reader Post]

Obama on Black unemployment being nearly double the national average at 16.7 percent: “It gets folks discouraged. I know. I listen to some of y’all,”

President Barack Obama: “The Republicans in Congress call this class warfare. Well you know what? If asking a billionaire to pay the same tax rate as plumber or teacher makes me a warrior for the middle class, I’ll wear that charge as a badge of honor. Because the only class warfare I’ve seen is the battle that’s been waged against the middle class in this country for a decade.” Continue reading

President Barack Obama, helping to explain the devastating unemployment numbers: “There’s some structural issues with our economy where a lot of businesses have learned to become much more efficient with a lot fewer workers…You see it when you go to a bank and … you use an ATM, you don’t go to a bank teller. Or you go to the airport, and you’re using a kiosk instead of checking in at the gate”

President Obama: “Shovel-ready was not as shovel-ready as we expected.” Continue reading

Obama will be spiking the football until November of 2012 [Reader Post]

Barack Obama learned of Osama Bin Laden’s whereabouts in August of 2010. It has been reported that the intelligence was “solid” by mid-February. The mission to kill Bin Laden did not take place until May 2. Immediately after the raid the accolades began flowing from the White House to the White House, and it was noticed: Continue reading

Obama’s lost opportunity [Reader Post]

Barack Obama has made an enormous error and squandered a magnificent opportunity. And perhaps we ought to be grateful.

As has been pointed out here frequently, Obama thinks of no one more highly than himself. Skook has referred to Obama as the Narcissist in Chief. Searching for “Obama ego” yields 17 million hits, such as: Continue reading

There really are only two liberals worthy of respect [Reader Post]

Ironically, that would be Michael Moore and Rosie O’Donnell. Say what you want about them, but they are consistent.

We live in a Bizarro world at the moment. Good is bad, down is up and night is day. The Obama zombie supporters voted for a candidate who was against rendition, warrantless wiretapping, indefinite detention, black prisons and military tribunals and they have gotten the diametric opposite. They now applaud him and themselves, covered in the slime of their denials that all the infrastructure leading to the death of Osama Bin Laden was set in place by George W. Bush and that, from a foreign policy perspective, Barack Obama has become Barack Bush. Continue reading
