Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.: “I don’t think the burden should be on me.  The burden should be on him. He’s the one I’ve alleged has not paid any taxes. Why didn’t he release his tax returns?”  Harry Reid, incidentally, has not released any tax returns.

Sen. Chuck Schumer: “Every day Mitt Romney has to talk about tax returns is a bad day for him and a good day for the Democrats.” Chuck’s right on this.

Obama Deputy Campaign Manager Stephanie Cutter defended President Obama‘s investment in green energy companies like Solyndra: “The president was making investments for the country, because he’s not going to cede an entire industry to China and India. And as a result the company – country is prospering.”

When I heard her say that, I said, If there’s a, quote, “history,” if it goes back decades, what in the world were you all thinking as this was going on? History and decades?
