If there is anyone who might possibly have an inkling as to what al-Qaida are up to, it is the Jordanian journalist Fouad Hussein. He has not only spent time in prison with al-Zarqawi, but has also managed make contact with many of the network’s leaders. Based on correspondence with these sources, he has now brought out a book detailing the organization’s master plan.
There must be something particularly trustworthy about the Jordanian journalist Fouad Hussein. After all, he has managed to get some of the the most sought after terrorists to open up to him. Maybe it helped that they spent time together in prison many years ago — when Hussein was a political prisoner he successfully negotiated for Abu Musab al-Zarqawi to be released from solitary confinement. Or is it because of the honest and direct way in which he puts his ideas onto paper? Whatever the reason, the result is that a film which Hussein made about al-Zarqawi has even been shown on al-Qaida affiliated Web sites. “That showed me that they at least felt understood,” the journalist says.
Very interesting Curt. While there are a few nisconceptions. There is a good opportunity to make inroads in Europe. Like the Japanese in WWII, we can be underestimated and fire up when core issues are at hand.
Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was killed on June 7, 2006, while attending a meeting in an isolated safehouse approximately 5 miles north of Baqubah. At 14:15 GMT two United States Air Force F-16C jets identified the house and the lead jet dropped two 500-pound guided bombs, a laser-guided GBU-12 and GPS-guided GBU-38 on the building located at 33°48′02.83″N 44°30′48.58″E / 33.8007861°N 44.5134944°E / 33.8007861; 44.5134944. Also reported killed, one of his wives and their child.
One thing that caught my ear about Zarqawi…..
He was killing lots of other Muslims in Iraq.
The head of all al Qaeda, Zawahiri, (assuming Osama is dead) wrote him a letter.
Zawahiri chastised Zarqawi to stop killing ”fellow” Muslims even if he looked upon them as apostates worthy of death.
They (al Qaeda) should FIRST kill the Infidels.
THEN, when they had killed all of the Infidels, they could turn their attention to ”who is a true Muslim,” and get rid of all the apostate Muslims.
Until then many so-called apostate Muslims could be useful idiots for them!
