“Walk Away” Gaining Steam

Ace @ Ace of Spades HQ:

Charles Krauthammer calls for it.

t’s not just a bad deal, this is really an insulting deal. What Geithner offered, what you showed on the screen, Robert E. Lee was offered easier terms at Appomattox, and he lost the Civil War. The Democrats won by 3% of the vote and they did not hold the House, Republicans won the house. So this is not exactly unconditional surrender, but that is what the administration is asking of the Republicans. This idea — there are not only no cuts in this, there’s an increase in spending with a new stimulus. I mean, this is almost unheard of. What do they expect? They obviously expect the Republicans will cave on everything. I think the Republicans ought to simply walk away. The president is the president. He’s the leader. They are demanding that the Republicans explain all the cuts that they want to make.

The Walk Away/Let It Burn option is growing on people. One cautionary note, though: This will provoke a serious constitutional crisis and may undo the Republic. So a soft Let it Burn could turn into a genuine collapse of the Republic.

Obama is a tyrant. If Republicans do not lift the debt ceiling, it is perfectly obvious what he will do, as he’s argued for it before: Like Putin, he will begin unilaterally asserting power he doesn’t have.

I think ultamiely that is what is going to happen soon enough anyway. if the republic goes to crisis mode than obama can find a way (martial law) to solve it…so then he can find away for that forever type third term….I firmly believe it is what the plan is.

UNILATERALLY ASSERTING POWERS HE DOESN’T HAVE,
AMERICA why would you allow him to finish his agenda?

“Because some men aren’t looking for anything logical, like money. They can’t be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.” ~Dark Knight

I agree with the idea…It appears this nation has to seriosuly suffer before some people will get it. My own belief is that this nation can no longer be salvaged thru the voting process, careerism in politics has seen to that.

The problem is Obama has already asserted power he doesn’t have- fired the CEO of GM, committed U.S. forces in Libya’s civil war beyond the scope allowed for in the War Powers Act without congressional approval, the appointment of 30 plus czars who operate without congressional oversight etc., etc. and Congress has done absolutely nothing. Add in the SCOTUS decision on Obamacare and we no longer have separation of powers in this country which was a key component of our Constitution to safeguard our Republic. It is time for the states to take matters into their own hands starting with the refusal to implement Obamacare. That will lead to another nullification crisis just like the one in 1832 but it will raise the stakes and force people to take the side of either liberty or the side of wherever it is we are going.

OBAMA’SGOT THE fools and ignorants,
the STATES ARE BEST TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM,
IT’s their time to shout now, and show their power,
they have been nice long enough,
