Carl in Jerusalem @ Israel Matzav:

You may recall that I reported on Friday that Representative Allen West (R-Fl) hasĀ demanded a recountĀ in St. Lucie County, Florida, one of the three counties that is at least partly included in his district.

I’m sure that you’ll all be shocked to hear that St.. Lucie County, which voted overwhelmingly for President Hussein Obama, had aĀ turnout of 141.1%Ā on election day. I’m sure you’ll be really shocked to hear (no sarcasm in that one) thatĀ West is leading the recount.

This is from the first link.

Out of 175,554 registered voters, 247,713 vote cards were cast in St. Lucie County, Florida on Tuesday. Barack Obama won the county.

When faced with the astronomical figures, Gertrude Walker, Supervisor of Elections for St. Lucie County, said she had no idea why turnout was so incredibly high. She was flabbergasted,Ā saying, “We’ve never seen that here.”

Coincidentally (or not), St. Lucie County is also in Allen West’s district,Ā where 6,000 votes mysteriously “shifted” from Mr. West to his challenger.

And from the second link, West now leads by 195 votes.

Each Florida voter got two “Vote cards” at the polls this year. One of them was front side national and judicial races, second side state constitutional amendments. The other was state constitutional amendments on both sides.
When a voter inserted their ballot into the scanner, they were actually inserting two cards (or pages). The machines were counting the cards, not the voters.
So the number for voter cards needs to be divided by two to get the number of actual votes and voters.

Laura
that must be for all STATES
I hope MITT ROMNEY ASK FOR A RECOUNT ALL OVER AMERICA
we did not hear from him yet,
the intimidation must have been very strong and menacing,
oh GOD WHAT KIND OF A WIN ARE THEY ALL CELEBRATING?

I read he lost by so much that a recount is not called for.
Isn’t that true?
