Sure, it’s a lie, but it helps the gay rights agenda so let’s just go with it

Matt Walsh:

We all know the score.

This is how the game is played.

They lie, and cooperate with lies, and become willing participants in things that are very likely to be lies, and they do it all for the greater good.

Did you hear about the infamous gay bashing birthday party RSVP from earlier this week? The story set social media on fire. Two gay dads threw a tie dye party for their 7-year-old daughter, Sophia, and invited all of the neighborhood children over to celebrate. But some anti-gay mother (probably a Christian, as countless people on Facebook and Twitter observed) declined the invitation, and she did so in the rudest way possible. Rather than simply offering a polite ‘sorry, we can’t make it,’ she jotted down a vicious anti-gay rant, and sent it to Sophia’s dads.

The note said: “Tommy will NOT attend. I do not believe in what you do and will not subject my innocent son to your “lifestyle.” I’m sorry Sophia has to grow up this way.”

When I first saw this story, my initial thought was: who in God’s name throws tie dye parties anymore?

Then my second thought was: how long before we find out that this entire story is a hoax? I told my wife it would be two weeks. I was wrong. It took one week. A couple of days ago, the inevitable inevitably happened. We discovered that the Tale of the Anti Gay RSVP was, in fact, a complete fabrication, cooked up by a morning radio show.

Don’t worry, they say they only wanted to “start a conversation.”

Mission accomplished. Conversation started.

Well, it wasn’t so much a ‘conversation’ as it was an excuse for a bunch of nincompoops to spew tired old anti-Christian and anti-conservative clichés – but I guess that’s what passes for dialogue these days.

You know, I’m beginning to suspect that the folks who spread these fraudulent parables of “anti-gay bias” might be doing it on purpose.

I’m starting to suspect that these people aren’t as gullible as they pretend to be.

I might be onto something.

Look at Jezebel’s post on the bigoted birthday snub: Gay Dads Receive Mean, Homophobic RSVP to Their Kid’s Birthday Party. The writer rants about this “mean” woman, and reports the perceived ”facts” of the case. Then, in the second to last paragraph, she says this: “Of course, this note could be a fake just to get us all frothing and get this radio station’s name in the news. It kind of seems fake.”

She thinks it “seems fake” YET SHE SPREAD THE STORY ANYWAY.

Hey, Lindy West, if you think the story is fake, howza ’bout tossing an “allegedly” into that title? Or maybe you should, I dunno, just not intentionally reiterate an anecdote you suspect to be false.

It’s called “integrity.” Look into it sometime.

If the GLBT community is going to continue acting like enemies of America, then maybe they need to be treated like The Enemy. I have long supported GLBT issues, including gay marriage, and have a number of close GLBT friends. This is not about how you play with your plumbing, or who you marry, or how you relate to your gender.

It is about the Gay Mafia’s vicious, hateful, intolerant, hypocritical attacks on anyone who doesn’t toe their political line. It is about their Totalitarian Liberalism. Liberalism is a cult of hate and violence, and they are among the biggest haters. Not everyone gay, but the activist community. But the rank and file apparently support that, so they are just as bad.

It’s not that they are gay. It is that they are damned Liberal scum.

It’s really important to promote gay acceptance right now. We must see lots of examples of noteworthy gay folks in entertainment, sports and other walks of life so we can accept people with different lifestyles as not just noteworthy, but voteworthy!

Somewhere in the far, far distant future we might even see someone running for the highest office in the land whose sexual behavior may be believed to have strayed from the conventional. In that circumstance, it will be necessary for the voting public not merely to accept such behavior as perfectly normal, but that it be seen as an admirable burden for an oppressed minority to have overcome in striving to guide this great nation into a utopian future.

Of course this won’t happen for a long, long time. Probably not until the early twenty-first century, at least. We probably won’t notice the media working on the PR campaign until then.

This is just the latest in a long line of ”ends justify the means.” frauds.
I remember the Tawana Brawley case where a girl made up a lie about race years ago.
There have been blacks who pretended they had been targeted at school, but they did it all themselves, scrawling slander on their own dorm room doors and elevators.
I recall women pretending they were targeted for being either women or lesbians or Jewish or Muslim who made up hate notes and keyed their own cars.
I think the Matt Shepard murder should have been pulled off the gay hate crime list long ago since one of his own boyfriends/drug buddies was one of his killers. But it is still listed when hate crimes come up.
Then there was the lesbian slur supposedly put on a receipt instead of a tip…..only she did it herself.
This one was done by radio guys supposedly to ”start a conversation.”
Well, guys on the radio, did you get what you hoped to get?
Hate and spitting nails from the Left.
Incredulity and dismay from the Right.
What were they expecting?

Reminds me of a hidden camera piece in the UK a few years ago.
They hoped to catch ethnic Europeans in the act of showing hate for a hijabed Muslima who spilled her groceries on cue.
Instead they caught one act of kindness after another as these targeted men and women helped the Muslim woman pick up her stuff.
No wonder they pulled it off You Tube.

I don’t even think the phony “vicious” response was all that vicious anyway. Strongly worded perhaps, but why should people have to always walk on eggshells to avoid offending the thin-skinned?

@Jim S: #4
Dammit, Jim! I knew what I wanted to say, then I get to the last post and you’ve already said it!
Oh, well, it’s not like I don’t have anything else to say.

You know what? Like most Conservatives, I just don’t care. I don’t care about your religion, I don’t care about your sexual orientation, I don’t care about your skin color, I don’t care about your choice of underwear.
As long as you don’t use it as a reason to hurt the innocent.
As long as you don’t use it to demand special protections or privileges.
As long as you don’t use it as an excuse to lie about me, or my beliefs and choices.
As long as you don’t try to shove it in my face, or down my throat.

Yes, I have friends who are gay. Yes, I have friends of different races and religions. You know why? Because I don’t care.
They are my friends because I enjoy the company of people of good character.
And yes, I have a male friend who wears women’s underwear. How do I know? Because the poor guy got soaked with diesel at my house one day, and I had to run his clothes through the wash while he showered.
He explained that he’s worn them since, after a business trip, his wife found a set in his luggage…
We’re still friends, because I just don’t care!

What chaps my cheeks are the people who claim that whatever they prefer is not a choice, but they’re proud of it anyway. How can you be proud of something that you didn’t choose to do or to be?
Am I proud of my height? Of my hair color? Of my birthplace? No. I’m proud of my accomplishments.
I’m proud of the fact that I can pick up a camera and find beauty anywhere. I’m proud of the fact that I’ve taught myself to find beauty anywhere.
But I’m not proud of the fact that I prefer to love women instead of men, because that’s just the way that it is. It’s not something that I chose, so it’s nothing that I can be proud of.

I don’t hate you because you are homosexual. I might take an intense dislike to you, however, if you choose to demand things of me just because you are homosexual. Do you see the difference?

Don’t demand that I care about your loves or lifestyle, because I don’t!

@Petercat#5 – Well said. I have a problem with, like you said…and, “I” do not care….but, BUT! having your gay ‘choices’ shoved in my face at every opportunity…

We have a huge mess in this country…. and all I see within every “venue” (most recently just prior to the Olympics) there was nothing but – Putin gay this and Russia gay that… and… Olympics against gays – gay gay gay gay gay…GOD!! Get over it already!! Frankly I am weary hearing about it and about all the “SET UP ” lies – as written in this story and a comment..

Keep it up and the gays will become as irrelevant as the word racist is becoming…

This is how dysfunctional we have become:
We have a JOBS and an ECONOMY and HEALTHCARE MESS/PROBLEM in these UNITED STATES why are Gays in the front of the Conversation?

Priorities are another DYSFUNCTION

Fix the MESS we are in as a Country FIRST….

Is being gay…gay this or gay that going to SAVE Jobs-IMPROVE OUR ECONOMY?? Healthcare-? (or any other ’cause’ not geared towards an economically healthy/sound Country)

Where the hell are our priorities??

@Petercat: Well…. sorry about that. 😉 But you said it in more detail. Sad that so many people have to define themselves by superficial characteristics like skin color, sexual inclination and such rather than their inherent personhood. Don’t see how we can get to being “judged by the content of one character” by others when far to many people won’t even do it for themselves.

@FAITH7: #7
Our priorities are Liberal priorities (for now…).
Appearance over substance.
Emotions over reason.
Intentions over results.
Dreams over reality.

It is easier to feel than to think. Emotions are shallow and do not require much thinking. Reality is deep, requires examination and careful thought.
It is so much easier and requires less sacrifice to dream about how things should be than it is to actually work to change reality into something better.
Which is why Liberalism is so attractive. It is easier to say “I care” than it is to perform caring deeds.
Liberalism is, basically, lazy selfishness. No real effort, just opium dreams.

@Petercat#9 – As you can tell I do get frustrated – immensely frustrated…and you formulate it.. so well…

@FAITH7: #10
Thank you. As I’ve seen in my own writings, I’m becoming less and less tolerant of fools as time goes by. Probably for the same reason that I’ve had to begin using unscented soaps. I’m developing allergies to them.

The agendas of the Left allow all levels of hypocrisy.
Whites cannot be allowed to discriminate on pain of the law…..
BUT…..
Spike Lee can come out against whites moving into HIS neighborhood.
And no arrest?

Gays can INSIST their their new right to marry be respected, even enabled by everyone……
BUT….
David Cooley, the founder of The Abbey Food & Bar, A GAY BAR, can forbid straight customers service!
