Between the 10th and 14th centuries AD, earth’s average global temperature may have been warmer than it is today, according to the analyses of Lamb (1977, 1984, 1988) and Grove (1988). The existence of this Medieval Warm Period was initially deduced from historical weather records and proxy climate data from England and Northern Europe. Interestingly, the warmer conditions associated with this interval of time are also known to have had a largely beneficial impact on earth’s plant and animal life. In fact, the environmental conditions of this time period have been determined to have been so favorable that it was often referred to as the Little Climatic Optimum (Imbrie and Imbrie, 1979; Dean, 1994; Petersen, 1994; Serre-Bachet, 1994; Villalba, 1994)
Also see the Roman Warm Period, circa 250 BC to 400 AD — that is, roughly coincident with the rise and fall of Roman power. Warming is a GOOD thing.
I ‘m paraphrasing MSNBC- The next chairman of the environment committee will be Senator Inhofe of Oklahoma who will throw grandma and her wheelchair into that global warming snow.
If global warming did happen, more land would be able raise crops, so there would be more food for the ever increasing population of the Earth. We would also have more rain forests, so there would be more oxygen generated from plants.
It was scarier when these same people were warning us of the Earth eventually freezing.

We went from a high day temp of 74 to an overnight low of 7 in less than 10 hours.
Since Obama slides from ”global warming” to ”climate change,” I think what he really means is ”weather.”

Where I live, we don’t have very many trees with leaves. They are mostly pine trees, so we see green all year.
Thus why the MWP was scrubbed, err, ‘adjusted’ after the initial IPCC report. It’s always interesting to refer hardcore warmists to the first report and ask them why it was part of the IPCC historic temperature record at one point, but now ‘denied’ by them.
