Petraeus Mistress Suggests Benghazi Attack Was Aimed At Secret CIA Prison

Loading

Tony Lee @ Big Government:

Former CIA Director Gen. David Petraeus may have told his alleged mistress Paula Broadwell what really happened in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012 when terrorists murdered U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.

Broadwell, whose alleged affair with Petraeus forced him to resign last Friday, revealed during an October 26 speech at the University of Denver that Libyan terrorists may have attacked the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi on September 11, 2012 in order to take back Libyan militia members the CIA Annex had taken prisoner.

Furthermore, Broadwell confirmed that the CIA Annex in Libya had requested reinforcements and could have “reinforced the consulate and the CIA annex that were under attack.” Broadwell also said Petraeus and administration officials knew within 24 hours the possible motives behind the terrorist attacks.

In January of 2009, the Obama administration ordered secret interrogation camps abroad to be closed. Broadwell’s comments about the CIA Annex having captured Libyan militia members may reveal some of these overseas prisons may still be operational.

“Now, I don’t know if a lot of you have heard this but the CIA annex had actually taken a couple of Libyan militia members prisoner, and they think that the attack on the consulate was an effort to try get these prisoners back, so that’s still being vetted,” Broadwell said during the question-and-answer session of her presentation when an audience member asked her to comment on Libya.

Broadwell, who was speaking at her alma mater about her biography of Petraeus, confirmed the Fox News report (Broadwell said Jennifer Griffin’s report had “insightful information”) that came out on the day of her speech that said the Obama administration denied Americans on the ground in Libya the security and help they requested, telling NAVY Seals in Libya who wanted to help U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans who were eventually murdered to “stand down.”

The story begins to unravel from an unlikely source. Is it possible that Mrs Broadwell had a Top Secret Clearance as a biographer?

Pillow Talk you say, is this why married officers are not supposed to play Humpy Rumpy with strangers?

What other secrets dwell in the id of Mrs Broadwell? Secrets learned during her unofficial tie as an undercover correspondent, we will soon know, for when she has a book deal they will be uncovered.

Will they destroy merely destroy the man, because she thought he was having an extra extramarital affair or will they be enough to bring down an administration.

Personally, I thought Petaeus was making a mistake by hiring on with Obama, I said, “This will not turn out for the general,” I was right, but it looks like Obama was the one who made the mistake.

Things sweet to taste, prove in digestion sour.”

Skooks ” Hell hath no fury–” The plot certainly thickens. A movie to be made.

A sad end to a GREAT GENERAL who like so many men “let his little head—-“

@Richard Wheeler:

A sad end to a great general? Does that not apply to Eisenhower or Patton? I guess they are no longer considered “great” generals?

Too bad we don’t hold our presidents to the same code of honor as we do our generals.

Reteir05 Of course Patton and Ike were great generals. Ike had a mistress.Patton had a bad temper.
You know anyone who’s perfect?

@Skookum:

Will they destroy merely destroy the man, because she thought he was having an extra extramarital affair or will they be enough to bring down an administration.

It will most likely stop with Petreaus. He will be held to a higher standard than Clinton was even though he didn’t break the law and perjure himself trying to cover it up. The other thing to consider is that the election made it clear this is not the same country it was awhile back when there would have been a public outcry for answers. People don’t give a rat’s ass about the Constitution or our laws. If they did, we would be talking about President Romney. As long as enough of our populace get their freebies without having to work for them, they will overlook illegalities by those who promise not to take those “freebies” away. A sure sign of a decaying republic.

Another Vet, thanks for your service, and thanks for allowing the typos to slip by due to an early morning rush to get to the job at a decent hour.

It may end with the general; however, if the CIA was holding prisoners against the presidential directive, the general will be at fault, but if Obama was hiding the fact that he knew we the CIA was holding prisoners, there is a completely different perspective to consider. I have a feeling all Hell is about to break loose and I have no idea which way the chips will fall. I am glad to be an observer and not a participant. Heads are going to roll and we may see blood on the carpet before this comes to a conclusion if it ever does end. I have too much work this week, why don’t you step forward with the colors?

@Skook:

Here is the bottom line; yesterday, Dianne Feinstein was quick to tell Chris Wallace that General Petreaus’ resignation had NOTHING to do with Benghazi. Yet, in the next sentence, she said that the intel committee, which she heads, was not told of the discovery of the affair, and should have been. I have a question for Dianne, if she was left out of the loop on the affair, how can she say with certainty that it has nothing to do with Benghazi.

Let the spin begin. Oh, wait, it’s already been started. Fast and Furious coverup tactics now apply to Benghazi.

Petreaus has two choices; he can take the hit that the Oval Office is going to smack him with to make him the fall guy for Benghazi, which the Oval Office will or…………he can cowboy up and tell the truth about Benghazi since he is one of the few who know the truth.

Petreaus has lost his dignity. He can regain it by being honest with the American people. Otherwise, he will go down in history as one of the nation’s biggest disappointments.

Retire: Exactly! Not exactly a good place to be for our top military, CIA, or political leaders to be with their butts hanging out naked in the wind. This is going to rock this nation if not the world. God Bless all our warriors, past and present.

@Skook: Thanks for your service as well. I was actually able to get the flag out for a few hours today. The way the wind was yesterday, it most likely wouldn’t have stayed up.

There is no doubt there is WH involvement/knowledge somewhere along the line as there was with F&F, the intel leaks, and the decision not to send the cavalry in while our folks were being attacked in Benghazi. When you look at the reality of the situation, most likely nothing is going to happen. This administration is part of the dem machine from Chicago. They are well versed in corruption. It’s not even an art form to them anymore, they have it down to a science and now it is at the national level. Last week they put Jesse Jackson Jr. back in despite a pending indictment. They sent Derrick Smith to the Illinois House despite him being indicted. They elected a judge (her name escapes me) who was charged with striking a police officer and who then pleaded temporary insanity. Talk to an Illinois law enforcement official who was familiar with the Tony Rezko case and they will most likely tell you Obama was criminally involved. That’s the Machine. The House will only get so far before they are accused of being racist. Impeachment power lies with the Senate. Fat chance Reid will do anything other than cover for Obama like he has the last almost 4 years. As for 50% of the American people, see my #5. I would be very happy if you were correct about heads rolling and I was wrong. As for carrying the colors, I’ve been on a “news blackout” since last Wednesday morning. I found out about Gen P on FA and from people asking about it. You are a fellow history buff. If you were to read up on Antebellum American history, you would see some stark similarities between then and now. The only thing we are missing is the one big hot button issue like slavery was.

Another Vet, I am afraid you may be right. There was a proverb, “you can’t fight city hall,” but in this instance we are coming around to accept the maxim, “you can’t fight the Chicago Machine.”

Unfortunately, there are deeper connotations: the idea of a republic is gone. We are no longer the shining beacon of freedom. The United States is now little more than a banana or African republic, where graft and corruption is the drill and we either join in or be eligible to be ground by the iron heel of the Chicago Machine. It is remarkable to observe those who profess a love of freedom and the Constitution embrace the statism of Obama and become active apologists and dogma parrots for the image while the once great country is being demolished from the foundation. I’m just blowing off steam.

@Skook: You aren’t alone in blowing off steam. Your assessment of the situation is 100% accurate. RIP America: July 4, 1776-November 6, 2012.

hi,
when 30 STATES are joining to ask for cesside,
that is because it’s serious, they want no part of what they see developping,
and can you imagine how the FEDS CAN SUCCEED WITHOUT THOSE STATES,
THE FISCAL CLIFF would be permanent and break the USA WITH NO SOLUTION TO BE ABLE TO RETURN TO A LOOK NORMAL
THERE would be no more welfare checks for the needy, it would stop without any warning,
they would take any pension away from the people, and seems like they now are cutting on the MILITARY WHILE THE WAR IS STILL ON, THAT IS OUTRAGEOUS, it tell you of what else they would do if they cannot depend on 30 STATES AND MORE TO PAY FOR THE SOCIALIST COMMUNIST NEEDS.
BYE

NO ONE cannot deny the warning we gave them many times ,
they vote, and it has consequences

@ilovebeeswarzone: Given the intense dislike both sides have toward each other, it may be best if we part ways. Either way, things are going to get very ugly in this country, either through secession or when all of these bills start coming due. Wait and see what happens when they have to tell people that they can’t have their Security or pensions because there is no money left in the till or they have to tell people that in order to pay for all of these programs, everyone (not just the “rich”) will have to be taxed at an enormous rate.
