[Senators] have to lead, because this president is too weak, too cautious, too beholden to politics over policy to lead. In this budget, in his refusal to do anything concrete to tackle the looming entitlement debt, in his failure to address the generational injustice, in his blithe indifference to the increasing danger of default, he has betrayed those of us who took him to be a serious president prepared to put the good of the country before his short term political interests. Like his State of the Union, this budget is good short term politics but such a massive pile of fiscal bullshit it makes it perfectly clear that Obama is kicking this vital issue down the road.
To all those under 30 who worked so hard to get this man elected, know this: he just screwed you over. He thinks you’re fools. Either the US will go into default because of Obama’s cowardice, or you will be paying far far more for far far less because this president has no courage when it counts. He let you down. On the critical issue of America’s fiscal crisis, he represents no hope and no change. Just the same old Washington politics he once promised to end.

I think you are absolutely right! His ‘appeal’ to the younger generation was dead on. They bought his Rhetoric – hook, line and sinker… Many are now sorry for the HUGE mistake they made in electing him. The slightly older and wiser didn’t want anything to do with him… Too bad the younger generation (never wants to listen to the wiser) and didn’t have the wisdom of those slightly older then them. Now they will be paying for years for their bad bad judgement and their arrogance.
No Experience Obama – self admitted. What completely troubled me was they ‘bought’ the ‘Hope and Change’ thing – without question. And Obama didn’t even elaborate on just what the heck he meant by his ‘Hope and Change’. Very Troubling…
Obama seems like he wants ‘all the perks’ and ‘delegate’ his ‘job’ to the Progressives who ran a muck and have made Horrible decisions for our Country. He is NOT a LEADER. He shows weakness as the POTUS.
He isn’t even making decisions on Cutting spending in the new budget, leaving this to the Republicans who will get whip lash later on because they will have to be the ones to make the THOUGH decisions. Again Weak.
Blerk, I really don’t like to think of the prospects of the Federal Government going into Default and the not so lovely following events of the People’s Republic of China’s and Japan’s Repo man actions from such a Default.
