The Obama administration has done its best to oppose states from instituting new, stricter voter ID laws, complaining that many minority voters lack photo identification. But those same folks it wants voting in November are apparently not welcome anywhere near the First Lady’s book signings. Something tells me that the same media outlets comparing voter ID laws to the Jim Crow Laws, however, won’t see any hint of hypocrisy here, if they even report the story at all.
As stated on the blog Obama Foodorama:
 On Friday, June 8th, those wishing to attend the event must purchase a copy of the First Lady’s book at the location and leave it at the store, according to the employee. At the same time, customers must also submit their social security number and show an official photo ID (driver’s license, passport) to a Secret Service agent, and they will be issued a wristband to the First Lady’s event on June 12.( Emphasis added)The liberal media, particularly Obama-boosting cable network MSNBC has done its best to attack voter ID laws as discriminatory at best and racist at worst.
Appearing on MSNBC’s Now with Alex Wagner in March, former DNC Communications Director Karen Finney managed to connect the Trayvon Martin shooting to Voter ID laws.
In December MSNBC gave a platform to former NAACP chairman Julian Bond, who charged of voter ID laws that “They are racist in intent and aimed at vulnerable people in our population.”
Isn’t John Bates smart enough to figure out the difference between a routine Secret Service security measure and a voter identification issue? Or is he hoping that his readers aren’t?

It’s funny how organizations like Acorn can form to basically perpetuate a lot of fraud…and how the Left can create straw men [and women] when it comes to getting and using ID – that is identifying who you are …in order to stop [the opposite of perpetuate] fraud in elections…
If the left, much like Greg, feels so strongly that it is such a ‘hardship’ for [some] people to get an ID to vote….then the left should perhaps put their ideology where their mouth is…. and do something ‘selfless’ and ‘help’ a fellow voter to actually ‘get’ some type of acceptable ID so that they can Vote…..Wouldn’t this be a ‘feel good’ thing to do ????

No matter how hypocritical, illegal, or immoral the actions of the left are, greg will defend them and try to spin no matter what.
Even he knows the ID issue, especially in this case, is flaming hypocrisy on the part of the left, but greg is about propaganda and not admitting the truth. For those of you who think greg is sincere- wake the heck up.
Anyone against voter ID is condoning and approves of voter fraud. I don’t believe for a second that it disenfranchises voters. These so called disenfranchised voters require an ID to cash their welfare checks, get free medical assistance, get free food from pantries, get their driver’s license.
My 93 year old Grandmother never drove a day in her life yet she had identification. It looked just like a driver’s license and she used it to prove who she was. There was never a problem.
