Ronald Reagan was a pro-business president, unlike Obama.

After the gas lines, the business malaise, the inflation of Carter, Reagan took the reins, followed by GHW Bush.
It took time, but by 1990 the USA had reached it’s pinnacle in manufactured goods worldwide, accounting for 21% of all of the planet’s manufactured goods.

Even today (2009 numbers) the USA manufactures 20% of earth’s total, at $2.15 Trillion.
Compare that with China today.
Only $1.48 trillion.

And, one more thing.
President Reagan knew to be pro-business he had to also be pro-energy.
Obama still hasn’t learned that lesson!

The first week Reagan took office he did way with all of Jimmy Carter’s energy-meddling policies: the price controls, the rationing, the odd day/even day lines.

Under Reagan energy prices went down while availability went up.
Business boomed.

And Ronald Reagan didn’t look at this as a partisan thing at all.
There is a MORAL component to allowing people to have the energy they need to heat their homes, light their homes, cook their foods on their own dime!

Making it prohibitively expensive so you can put more Americans ”on the dole” is IMMORAL!
But that is Obama’s scheme.

Obama’s EPA sets up one roadblock after another on every attempt to bring energy to the American people.
After complying with 34 air quality permits Shell Oil just had the EPA pull their last one.
Shell Oil just quit trying to drill in Alaska because of it.

Reagan famously said: “government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem”
Obama believes just the opposite.
He is NO Ronald Reagan.
He acts more like Jimmy Carter.

Revisionist history- gotta love it. Reagan was a socialist and Hitler was not. Reagan went to the Mexican border and proclaimed “Tear Down This Wall”.
