As readers know, I have no pecuniary interest in the Rush Limbaugh show, which I seldom have the chance to listen to, although I do read his transcripts from time to time. About 20 million Americans do listen at least once a month and good for him. He earned it. This slut controversy is costing him some big bucks in the short term, but in the long term he will prevail.
My prediction: On January 21, 2013, Barack Obama will be out of the White House and Rush Limbaugh will be on the radio.
And if you own a business, you should advertise on his show (in addition to taking out an ad on political newspaper blogs run by people whose last names rhyme with Urber). Rush’s ratings are up — both in number and in dander.
Companies that bailed on Rush have lost the patronage of millions of conservatives.
Companies that sign up now, will be rewarded.
Now, there are two kinds of Limbaugh ads, the national ones that he peddles and the local ones that radio stations like WCHS (580 AM) that carry Rush peddle to local and national advertisers.
Glenn Reynolds told the story of a businessman in his home town of Knoxville, Tennessee, who took out an ad on Rush’s show. The ad was not to promote his product, a window cleaning service, but to support free speech.
In his ad, Steve Eimers of Window Wiz in Knoxville, Tennessee, said: “They are harassing advertisers with questionably legal secondary boycotts and threats. We support free speech… For those who will choose to use this ad as an excuse to attack our constitutional right to free speech, I have one thing to say: We will not be intimidated. Bring it on.”
Steve Eimers of Window Wiz was rewarded commercially. Glenn Reynolds reported this message from Mister Eimers:

Americans love their freedom first, foremost and always. Those liberals who say the people in Kansas vote against their interests when they refuse socialism just do not get it. I don’t know what you mean by my “private site.” I don’t have a web site.
I was asking my state reps, by their web sites, about Obama’s birth certificate and Social Security numbers. Here is what I wrote, and I encourage others to write there state reps about this. Anyone can copy and past this if you want to sent it to them. Let’s stop Obama at the state level.
VETTING FOR PRESIDENT
With Obama’s birth certificate being declared a fake by Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona, is Idaho going to do like some other states are doing and write laws making it mandatory that a candidate for president will be Vetted before they can run in Idaho. The democratic party has admitted they never Vetted Obama for the 2008 elections. I hope that doesn’t happen again. Below is a link to Arpaio’s press conference.
If you haven’t been following the debate of whether Obama’s birth certificate is real or not, just look at the image on the white house web sight. It won’t take long to see for yourself it is a fake.

Look at window 6c and 8. Notice how the window lines angle down and to the left, but the lettering in the windows don’t? Put a ruler under the letters and you will see it is a straight line.
Look at each letter “y”. The tail goes under the letter to the left of it. The document is SUPPOSED to have been filled out with a typewriter. Typewriters can’t do this.
Look at window 9. The “Race or Father” shows “African.” That term wasn’t used until years later. The term then was “Negro.”
Look how the letters are spaced. A typewriter takes up the same space for each letter. These are all squeezed together like a word processor does.
Look at the stamped words at the bottom that start with, “I CERTIFY THIS….” The first word “the” is misspelled. This is SUPPOSED to be a stamp. The stamp is pressed on an ink pad and then pressed onto the paper. The stamped birth certificates ahead of and after Obama’s aren’t misspelled.
Look at the signature that starts with, “Alvin.” Someone put the letter “c” in just the right place that it makes what is now called a “smiley face.”
Every state puts an official seal on birth certificates. Try to find one on this document.
These are things you can see for yourself. There are many other reasons the experts that have examined it say it is a fake. Some are:
(1) If a typewrite wrote it, the keys of the typewriter wold leave an impression in the paper. Even when copied, the copy will show the impressions with the right software. Obama’s has none.
(2) The document has more than one font. Typewriters have only one.
(3) The number is out of sequence. I forget if his number comes before someone who was born before him, or after someone who was born before him.
(4) The document is in pdf. Hawaii doesn’t give them in pdf.
Why haven’t the democrats denied that Obama is using a Social Security card that was issued in Connecticut, even though neither he nor his parents ever lived there? The number he is using was in a block of numbers that were reserved for FOREIGN students and issued to a someone who was born in 1890.
There is only one Barack Obama in the USA. Anything that is linked to that name is him. There are up to 39 different Social Security numbers that were used by that name.
If looking at all of the information available for the birth certificate and the SS numbers, and you still think Obama is legally eligible to be president, then I am waisting my time and we could have another four years of Obama trying to turn the USA into a socialist or Muslim state.

bees, the commenter you are speaking of is spam, and is right now living in the spam filter (until someone empties it, that is…).
When you say you are “receiving the comments at your site”, what you mean is that you are getting an email notification that a comment has been added to a thread where you commented before. If someone doesn’t want to receive email updates when a new comment is added, uncheck the box at the bottom left that says “Notify me when new comments are added” before you hit the “Post Comment” button. If you have commented before, and didn’t uncheck it, you won’t be able to undo the email notification, unless you do an “unsubscribe”. But that may knock out other notifications from the FA site too.
Sometimes the spam slips past the spam filter, and you get it in your email anyway. That’s what happened with this one. However if one of us catches an obvious spam post, we throw it in there after the fact.
I didn’t see this particular comment, so my guess is Curt threw it in there. If anyone is curious, it’s just some BS announcement by the cyber spammer, trying to organize a rally of whiny progressives this coming October.

SUGGESTION
When you want to comment, first, leave the cursor where it is when the comment window appears. Then put the number of the post you are commenting on, such as #59. Then, hit return or enter, depending on which kind of computer you use. This will put you on the next line down. Then, if there is a quote you are referring to, copy and paste it where you want it. Then highlight what you just pasted. Then go up above the comment window to the window that says,”b-quote” and click on it. That will put the highlight around the quote. The other window sare self-explanitory.
The “common sense” world only exists in an open mind. Obama is opening many minds to common sense.

FREE KITTENS

You reminded me that the politicians had their rules changed concerning what went into the congressional record. They wanted to allow themselves to edit any bad language or mistakes they made. Like any other law they change, they changed it so it would allow them to do whatever they wanted. Now, they can call in anything they wanted. They could even call from Kenya and dictat what they WANT the record to show, even though they weren’t there to say anything. Just because it is in the congressional record, does’t mean it was said in congress. Politicians even mention companies into the record to help get them votes and donation.

I haven’t mastered the English language yet, and I was born here. I have proof. I don’t worry about a person’g grammar or spelling. I used to be a Trucker Buddy where a truck driver is matched up with a grade school class and they write each other. I was surprised how much better most of the kids could print in one year.
I also go along with many people who want to change our language. It is one of the hardest languages for foreigners to learn because it uses different languages. There is one web sight that has changed the words so they are spelled the way they sound, but I can’t find that sight. You can look at any of the words and pronounce it correctly because it is spelled the way is sounds. I’m for that.

I have always told foreigners that settled in the USA to not lose their accent completely. I like to hear the different accents, as long as I can understand them. I don’t know if Canada has different accents in different parts of the country, but we do. Some take a while to get used to before you can understand what they are saying.
I may be south of you, but Idaho is on the Canadian border, and I don’t know if anybody in my town has an air conditioner.
