A 6-year-old kindergartner sparked an uproar at his Massachusetts school when he was spotted brandishing a tiny plastic Lego gun on the school bus last week.
Mieke Crane, the child’s mother, insists that officials at Old Mill Pond Elementary School in Palmer overreacted when another student saw the toy, which is slightly bigger than a quarter, and alerted the driver Friday.
‘She [driver] said he caused quite a disturbance on the bus and that the children were traumatized,’ Crane told the local station WGGB.

Bill Maher on HBO’s Real Time Friday made a statement that will make the Right cheer as the left predictably cringes.
After his guest Brian Levin – the director of the Center for the Study of Hate & Extremism at California State University, San Bernardino – said of the Boston bombings and how it relates to radical Islam, “We have hypocrites across faiths, Jewish, Christian who say they’re out for God and end up doing not so nice things,” Maher marvelously responded, “That’s liberal bulls–t right there”
A win by the bad guys:
Austria’s Turkish community claimed a victory in its fight against Danish toy giant Lego yesterday after the firm agreed to withdraw a Star Wars toy set featuring a mosque-like building inhabited by an obese, hookah–smoking alien, following complaints that it was anti-Muslim.
Of course, the resell value of this Lego set just skyrocketed thanks to the cultural and racial hypersensitivity of those looking to be offended by anything and everything in the world.
